Climb like a...

Girl!

Yep, Reba has mastered climbing the rope!  In this video, it was actually her second time doing it so she didn't quite make it to the top, but you get the "picture"

Wrapping up the Weekend

We finished filling the pool while we were at church.  The kiddos were bound and determined to go swimming today!
The lasted all of 13 minutes before they decided it was cold.

While they headed inside to dry off, Sugar wanted to help Daddy with chores.
Julianne loves the sheep - or ICE as she calls them!  Notice she is climbing the water bucket to try to get to the boys to give them some lovin'.

Stuck

While doing who knows what in the back of the house, I heard Julianne getting mad from the front room.  She was grunting, whining, yelling, etc...and I guess she had a good reason.
She had gotten herself stuck!  She has learned how to climb into the recliners by using the handles on the side as a step to get up and over the arm rests.  But today, someone left the chair reclined, and she found herself in a tight spot!

Thankfully, Julianne has a very loving and helpful sister...
...although Little Miss isn't quite strong enough to pick up her baby sis anymore, but Momma was there to help in the end.

Until next time...

Random Photos

Before everyone had a turn with the stomach flu bug, we enjoy an afternoon "Picnic on the Patio"
During one of the recent rainy days, the kiddos were excited to be able to use the new umbrellas from Aunt Katie while we ran errands in town
The kiddos love to help with laundry (especially matching socks).  I caught Dallas with a pair of Daddy's socks on his feet and hands, while dancing in my bedroom!
Aunt Lisa calls her "Turkey", but one day at t-ball practice, she was definitely a Monkey!

Sunday at the Park

We can't get enough of the sunshine and being outside!
What can I say, they LOVE to swing...
...and climb...
...and slide.
The ducks and geese at the pond are now a new favorite!
Someone left some dog food on the dock, so we had fun tossing it/feeding it to the geese.
Dallas has since asked (multiple times) to go to the park to feed the geese!

Until next time...

A lot of This and a Little of That Thursday

First, the weather has been beautiful!  I just love the fall, too bad in Iowa it is a very, very short season.  That's one thing I am really looking forward to about moving.  Plus, I'm very excited to see the trees change colors and enjoy that natural wonder.  OK...enough about that...pictures!

Reba has loved playing in the sandbox.  She will sit and dig and play while Dallas drags me about the yard wanting to do other things.  Plus, she has learned that the sand doesn't taste all that great, so she has stopped putting it in her mouth and I can feel comfortable walking away for a few minutes.
One thing I won't miss about Iowa...the wind.  I mean how is a girl suppose to keep her hair looking fabulous all day with this wind?
This goober just makes me laugh!
We have been having some great successes with the potty training and sleeping in the big boy bed, but as to be expected...we have our moments.  He also knows when the camera is on, taking pictures of his sister, and how to step in front and flash that grin!

The other day I posted about new things the kiddos can do, well the next day, Reba surprised me by doing this...

Yea, she just took off and up the stairs she went!  She made it about half way up before she stopped to see if anyone was following (and yes, I was!)

Reba has also started to stand (without holding on to something) for longer periods of time.  Here, she was pouring herself a nice cup of tea.
Oh, remember that packing picture...here's how I found Dallas later that day.
When did I get two monkeys for kids?

And, finally a short video.  We were playing outside today when I noticed Dallas climbing onto his pedal tractor a little different than normal.  Apparently, he has to climb on like Daddy climbs on the big Ollie.
Until next time...
