I thought it was pretty cute when I spotted MJ helping Julianne on the swing this morning. I think they are going to get along quite well.
Until next time...

Julianne - 9 months
Enjoy some of the random pictures of Julianne from the past month...
Since Julianne has stopped being swaddled while sleeping, she now loves snuggling with her swaddle blankets
Julianne is actually sitting in the seats of shopping carts more often. Reba loves when we go to Aldi's because she can ride too!
Thankfully, at Rural King, the carts have extra large seats, and both girls and fit!
Julianne is pulling up to a standing position more and more. I recently brought out this toy, and she LOVES it! I love her hair (it had been in a pony the day before)
One morning, the girls and I ventured out to a park to enjoy the sunshine. They could swing all day long!Julianne is figuring out how to "undress" herself. Somehow, she pulled her arm out of the sleeve and up through the neck hole! All while strapped in her carseat...
Every once in a while, Julianne will allow Dallas to still sit and hold her.
Another example of Julianne allowing someone to sit and hold her. This time I was able to chosen!
Our little girl does not like to be held too often, she would much rather ride in her stroller, sit in the high chair, or be on the floor where she can move freely. As far as going to sleep, she will wiggle and fight if you try to rock her; she would much rather be put in her bed and given her blanket.
A few other things Julianne has accomplished this past month:
- Picking up "puffs" to feed herself
- Holding on with one hand while standing
- Stayed with her godmother, Carla, for about 12 hours!
- Says "mamama", "dadada", and occasionally "bababa"
- Starting to cruise down the couch and around chairs
- Eating more and more table food: mashed potatoes, yogurt, bread, pancakes, pasta, etc
- Passes items from one hand to the other
- Sharing baths with Reba and Dallas
- Still squeezes into 6-9 month clothes
- Wears size 3 diapers
- Nurses every 4 hours
- Sleeps from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; naps from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m.
- Drinks water from sippy cup during meals
- Waves back when we wave to her
- Figured out how to grind her teeth, and (occasionally) smack her lips
- Crawls across the floor while holding something in her hand
9 month stats:
Height: 27.5 inches*
Weight: 19 lbs 10 oz
Until next time...
*I don't agree with her height measurement since it is only a quarter inch different from her 6 month check-up

Labor Day
We ended our long weekend with a little more fun with our families before making the trip home. On Sunday, we helped Pa-paw and Aunt Lisa shear off the older ewes in preparation of fall lambing. Even Dallas and Reba took a turn with the electric clippers!
We of course had to play with tractors - big and small before leaving!
Julianne also got to take a ride on "Mac"
I decided we needed to have a treat about halfway home...Can you believe they ate the entire thing?!?!Once we got home and got the van unloaded, it was time to do chores. Once that job was finished, the kiddos wanted to swing. Apparently, Julianne had met her quota of fun for the weekend.
Until next time...

Fun Friday Fotos
Before we know it, this little lady is going to be "army crawling"
The kiddos really enjoyed the tulips outside the school a few weeks agoThese two can't get enough of each other
Splish, splash!
They always love to go for wagon rides
Julianne has started using the jump swing, and she LOVES it!
and, you know I love a good comparison...
Here's Dallas the first time in the jump swing
and here is Reba using the jump swing the first time
FYI: the kiddos are roughly the same age in the above photos - just shy of 5 months old

Winter Wonderland
We rang in the new year by going out to play!
Do you know how hard it is for a 3 year old to "pump" her legs while in a snowsuit? Although, she didn't care, she was having a blast!
Dallas wanted to help clear the snow, but all he could find was a rake...Like I mentioned in an earlier post, the snow was great for packing and building. I found one of the buckets for the sandbox, and Reba helped me build a tower!
I also dug out the old sled
and pulled Dallas for a few a laps
Reba then wanted a turn, and Dallas was the very kind, helpful older brother
Then she wanted to go a little faster, so Momma took over - love the dogs running along with us in this one
I later caught Reba throwing snowballs at the barn
and then she would wipe it off the siding!
Until next time...

Fun Friday Fotos - Tire Swing
Doug and I finally got the tractor tire swing (that the kiddos got for Christmas) hung in a tree! Dallas had been asking about it for a while, and we finally remembered to get a rope while at Lowes one day.
Can you tell he was pretty excited about it?
Sorry it's a fuzzy picture, but you can see in her smile that Little Miss loves it as well!

Not-So-Fun Friday Fotos
Got to love Indiana weather and the storms that come in the spring time. Oh, wait. Spring is still a few weeks away! Anywho...
This was the view out our back door about the time a tornado touched down about 2 or 3 miles to the north of us.
After that first storm rolled through, we looked to be good. Then, a hour or so later, the hail came!
That's when I noticed our poor swing set. That thing has had a very rough life.
At least that was the only damage for us. Praying for the others that were not to lucky.
I pass this barn every day when I take Dallas to preschool.
In the end, God reminds us of His promise.
Until next time...

I know it is hard to tell, but there are weather spotters out taking pictures beside the blue lift.
The kiddos got to take their nap in the basement today :)After that first storm rolled through, we looked to be good. Then, a hour or so later, the hail came!
