Fall Memories

As a kid I always loved playing in the fallen leaves.  I'm happy to say, my kiddos love it too!

Doug and I were surprised how many leaves have fallen, yet there are so MANY green leaves still on the trees.  Dallas decided that we needed to spend yesterday raking and picking up the ones in the yard.  Notice that his sister and dad are the ones working to make a pile...
Daddy had the idea to get the "power" rake
Time to start jumping!

Fun Friday Fotos

This fall our church sold mums as part of a fund raiser.  I had been wanting to add some around the house (as I didn't have a single one, and I missed the ones I had in Iowa).

We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of the mums when we picked them up, and they have done excellant since we planted them!

Also, I noticed in my link back that I posted a picture of the leaves changing...I actually just snapped a few photos this past weekend on the drive up north.

I still tell people the changing of the leaves is what I missed the most while living in Iowa!  I love the colors of fall.

Until next time...

Playing in the Leaves

The other day, Dallas went out to play while Reba was still napping.  When I checked on him, this is what he was up to...
Just riding one of the tractors through the leaves.  It entertained him for hours about half an hour.

Playing in the Leaves

While Daddy was on vacation last week, he raked up a leaf pile for the kiddos to jump in and run through and have some fun!  And, that they did.
Enjoy some video clips of *all* the kiddos enjoying the pile!
Don't be fooled by Reba.  She was loving the leaves just as much as everyone else...until I turned on the camera!  Also, sorry for all the wind noise in the first part of the video; and here I thought we escaped that when we left Iowa. :)

Until next time...
