Easter

With Dallas having had a baseball scrimmage game on Saturday, we stayed in town for the majority of the weekend.  We were also able to go to our church for Easter morning Mass.  It is the first time we have done this since Dallas was born.  Thankfully, the kiddos let me grab a quick photo after church.
We then quickly changed and got back in the van to head to my cousin Kathleen's house for the afternoon.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and the little cousins were able to run and play in the yard!
Later in the day, we lined up all the littles for a picture before releasing them into the yard for an egg hunt!

Julianne knew exactly what to do!
Again, the best part is breaking open the eggs to find out what is inside!

Some of the kiddos got a small sports ball in their eggs, they then proceeded to throw it in the yard...

Which led to a bit of a tackle-fest among the older boys
While the girls enjoyed chasing the bubbles
I hope you were able to enjoy your Easter celebrating the joyous resurrection of our Lord with your loved ones.

Until next time...

Easter Weekend Shenanigans

Our Easter shenanigans started on Saturday with Doug's family.  Doug ended up working rather late Friday night, so we didn't head north until early Saturday.  Thankfully, it was an absolutely beautiful weekend, and we were able to spend a lot of time outside.

The kiddos with Gram and Aunt Josie getting ready to "go hunting".

My favorite picture of Reba from the weekend... she was so excited to find a pink egg!
Taking a break to make sure they were getting the same amount of eggs

Dallas' tractor basket got full, so he started using Julianne's caterpillar basket!
Reba still loves it when Daddy tosses her in the air (Dallas loves to be tossed as well, but he is getting too big to fly)
Easter morning started with Mass at Pa and Gram's church.  Reba was over the moon excited about Julianne and her having similar dresses.  Thankfully, I was also able to convince Dallas to wear a purple shirt and tie to coordinate.
We were finally able to get a picture of the 5 of us (the only other one I have is from the day Julianne was born; all piled in my hospital bed)
After church, we headed over to Pa-paw and Ma-maw's house for breakfast.  Then, we loaded up and headed to my cousin's house.  After lunch, everyone headed outside for the big egg hunt.  I was able to get a quick photo of the hunters before they were released out into the yard...
It was so much fun to watch all the little ones roam the yard and find all the treasures.

Little Miss taking a short break - or supervising the boys?
I thought this was too cute of Vivian - "Wait! I got to fix my shoe"

I was able to get these two sweeties to pause long enough for a photo - Grace and Reba

After the egg hunt was over, someone brought out a bubble machine.  The kiddos LOVED it!

Waiting patiently for the bubbles to start...
I was busy feeding Julianne, but Ma-maw grabbed my camera and got this video of the kiddos running about.
Until next time...

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday began with us attending Mass with Gram and Pa
The kiddos in their Sunday best...

After church, we met back up with Ma-maw and Pa-paw to head to the Robertson Easter dinner.  Apparently, the sun was in Dallas' eyes during the car ride...
When we arrived, the kiddos were able to decorate bags for the egg hunt to follow after food was consumed...

Once we were home and the candy was sorted - the kiddos were exhausted!  Good thing Dallas had Easter Monday off from school; we all needed the extra day to get back into a routine and back on schedule!

Until next time...

Easter Weekend - Saturday

After picking up the kiddos from Ma-maw and Pa-paw's, we headed over to Aunt Pat's house for the Rosenfeld Easter Dinner.  After everyone was done eating (and washing a few dishes), we headed outside to try for a few pictures.
Aunt Josie and the kiddos
Remember when I said it was cold on their Spring Break?  Here's what was left of the snow!
After pictures, it was time for the hunting of eggs to begin...

Reba recruited Aunt Pegs to help hold the eggs that were over-flowing from her basket

Until next time...

Easter Weekend - Day 1

On Saturday of Easter weekend, we were able to spend the day with Daddy's side of the family.  It was an absolutely beautiful day, so Daddy decided to get the Oliver 550 out for a spin.  The kiddos loved it!

Reba taking a ride with Daddy
Cousin Aden taking a ride
Doug even gave Cody a driving lesson and let him take a spin around the yard
Dallas drove rode a round with Momma
Then it was time for the egg hunt! (They were a little excited to get going)

Crackin' open the eggs to find all the goodies!
Until next time...
