Just some random photos that I were taken on my phone these past couple months...
Grocery Shopping this summer has been more interesting have 3 children in tow. Luckily, one of our stores has these "Shopper in Training" carts that keep the older two occupied.
We have been having a blast in the pool!
Julianne getting to pet one of the kittens
Dallas had a fun time taking pics one evening
Then, he wanted a picture of everyone; therefore, here is our family selfie!
Whenever we go to Target, my kiddos LOVE to slap and climb on these red spheres at the entrance...
I think it was around Easter time that Reba started asking about getting the pool out so she could swim. That girl is such a fish, she thinks if the sun is out (no matter the actual temp), she should swim!
Finally on the 15th of the month, I gave in. Reba helped me fill the pool one morning while Dallas was at school.
We let the water warm up all afternoon, and after naps, the kiddos jumped in!
They have since been in a few more times. I'm sure we will get lots of good out of the pool this summer!
Over the weekend, Pa-paw and Ma-maw came down to help us "work" sheep. The lambs were needing their hooves trimmed, wool sheared, and a couple different vaccinations.
Pa-paw was happy to hand the clippers over to Momma...while Dallas watched and learned.
Yep, there's Reba "supervising" again
It was a somewhat warm day (mid-60's), but the kiddos felt they needed to play in the water that was in the pool from a recent rainstorm.
Then, they started using their shoes as scoops...
And the next thing we knew, they were standing and jumping in the water!
This summer I signed the kiddos up for swim lessons. Classes started the first week of June, and run through this Thursday. The kiddos have been going on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m.
It was a struggle at first. They didn't want to get in the pool - let alone be spoken to by the instructor! In the second week, we had made some progress. I might have mentioned something about not being able to go to Wisconsin Dells if they didn't participate in class... After returning from the Dells, I might have then bribed them with the stay at Pa and Gram's house... Needless to say, they have really come a long way, are learning how to be safe in the water, and (dare I say) are enjoying it!
Here's some video of them working on going under water and kicking with noodles.
Here are a few other pictures as well...
Reba floating with help from the noodle only! (Dallas can do this as well, but he was being stubborn at class last week)
After doing great at swim class, we let the kiddos pick something to do as a reward. They chose to go out for ice cream! So Cold Stone Creamery it was...
I also found this great deal on a swimming pool while the kiddos were on their stay-cation. They were pretty excited when they came back home to find the pool was big enough for them plus Momma and Daddy.
Yesterday was a big pool party for Dallas. The temperatures were in the mid-90's, with heat index of 100+. Needless to say...it was hot! I got Dallas' pool out around 9:30 yesterday morning, and he swam until noon when it was time for lunch. He then took a great afternoon nap, and when Doug got home and we had supper, it was back in the pool! These pictures are from the evening swim.
Dallas' favorite thing to do was fill his watering can and then dump it - either back in the pool, on himself or on me!
Lounging pool side with the boys
I wasn't really planning on him getting in the pool, so he had on his regular diaper...boy, do those things retain the water!
While sitting by the pool, I realize I hardly ever post pictures of the boys...so I took their pictures so I could post them. They enjoyed the day in the shade yesterday...even Fred who loves the sun!
