Fun Friday Fotos - Vacation Randoms

Hopefully, I still have a few readers out there after my multiple vacation posts...if so, I have one more post of vacation pictures.  These are the random ones, or even the out-takes, if you will.  Mind you, these are in no particular order either.

The kiddos loved the bunk beds they got to sleep in at the hotel
I'm pretty sure on more than one occasion, the server at the resturants believe my kiddos were actually Aunt Katie's kiddos.  I'm trying to think if they even sat by me at a single meal.  Nope, pretty sure they always called dibs to sit by Aunt Katie!
Reba left her pink Oliver hat somewhere...but no fear - Pa-paw found it!
Sleepy boy waiting in line at the go-karts
Yep, that's Momma and Pa-paw racing the luggage cart down the hallway! Do as I say, not as I do...
Pa-paw was finally able to carry Reba - after a long day spent at the water park
Check out the awesome gas mileage our van got on the way to Wisconsin - 30.6 mpg!!!
 Please, Momma...no more pictures
If Dallas was going to be Mr. Grumpy Pants about getting his picture taken, so was Aunt Katie
A self-portrait of Momma and Reba while horseback riding
One night, while playing arcade games, we (Doug, Aunt Lisa and I) were trying to win some fast tickets.  After we each took a turn (and not having much luck), Reba pulled the handle before we knew it...and what does she win?  Yep...100 tickets!
Vacation complete...east bound and down...headed home
Until next time...

Moose Jaw and Billards

Our last night in the Dells, we at at this wonderful pizza place called Moose Jaw.  It was going to be a bit for us to get seated, so they suggested we visit downstairs where the aracades and such were located.
Cowboy Dallas shootin' the bad guys
These two climbed right up on those bikes like they knew what they were doing!

It is a very rustic/outdoors theme inside - antler chandler, moose heads...
goat foot hooks - you know everyday normal!
Pa-paw buying a kiss from Little Miss

Those pizzas didn't stand a chance with this group!
Pa-paw, Rajean, Reba, Aunt Lisa, Doug, and Dallas
Dallas was so proud of his balancing act!

The Moose Jaw uses these PT Cruisers for their deliveries
Needless to say, Dallas thought they were hillarious!
After supper, we made it back to the hotel for a few games of billards.  Pa-paw and Momma were on a team and Aunt Lisa and Daddy were the other.  I do believe Pa-paw and I won overall :)
Until next time...

Breakfast with Paul Buynan and Some Fishing

That's right...we had breakfast with Paul and Babe!
We often call Dallas "The Big D", but he still has some growing to do to catch Paul
Poor Reba had the sun in her eyes, so she wouldn't look at the camera
Everyone gathered at the table - it was served "family lumberjack style".  We had flapjacks, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage links and baked ham.  Oh, and you can't forget the homemade donuts!
Reba enjoying her milk from a pretty cool cup
Dallas and Darby (a long time Robertson vacation friend) sporting the ox horns
The Big D cranking on the penny smashing machine
Little Miss doing her thing
One last picture with Aunt Katie before she and Brian left back for Iowa.
That's one big blue ox!
After breakfast, Daddy, Pa-paw and Dallas went fishing!  Dallas has been asking Daddy to go fishing for quite some time.  So when Daddy saw a flyer for a place in the Dells that "guaranteed" you would catch fish, he jumped at the chance to take Dallas.
Pa-paw helping cast the line
As you can see, the fish were pretty thick in the pond they were at!
One of the three fish that Dallas caught!
Dallas wasn't so sure about the idea of touching them, but he eventually came around.  The place even cleaned and packed the fish for us so we were able to bring them home and enjoy them on our grill!

Until next time...

Horseback Riding and Golf Outing

One afternoon, Doug and I decided to take the kiddos on a horseback ride.  They always loved when our neighbors in Iowa would take them for rides, and they loved this ride as well.  It was very hard to take pictures while riding; therefore, there are not too many to share...

Doug and Dallas on their horse, Conan
Reba and Momma on our horse, Elmo

While we were horseback riding, the others went golfing!

Brian (far left) chipping - or putting

Until next time...

Wisconsin Ducks

We were quite the typical tourists on our vacation, just like I have said before...you can't vacation in Wisconsin without visiting a local brewery (check), or you can't go to the Dells without seeing the "dalles" (check), and you can't go without taking a Duck tour!  So that is what we did :)
Ma-maw and Pa-paw
Aunt Katie and Brian
Doug and I
Today's driver: The Big D
I can't remember the entire story about this rock formation, but it had to do with someone playing their baby grand piano on top of the cliff until one day the rock split and the baby grand fell off
and they never cleaned it up (use your imagination to see the baby grand)
Can you see the hawk flying off the cliff?
This is Red Bird Gorge - it is the narrowest part of the tour and the driver has only 2 extra inches of space to get the large Duck through - thankfully, we had an excellent driver and no paint was exchanged with the bluffs :)
This was the best picture I got the entire vacation of the 4 of us
The above picture was taken not too long before Little Miss grabbed another cat nap!
(yes, she was standing between my legs as she slept)
Until next time...
