To end the weekend visit, Pa-paw and Ma-maw treated the kiddos with a trip to Kelsay Farms near Whiteland. I think it is safe to say that everyone had a blast! Thanks for remembering your cameras Ma-maw and Aunt Lisa. Enjoy a *few* of the photos from our afternoon on the farm!
Since Doug is out of town for work, I took the kiddos north to visit Pa-paw and Ma-maw for the weekend. (I was itching to see the newest baby lambs!)
Pa-paw has been building paper airplanes for the kiddos, and Dallas is getting pretty good at flying them. Then he figured out how to land them up on the shelf with Pa-paw's tractors...needless to say, he had to get them down too.
Here's the newest addition to our flock! A natural colored Dorset! Pa-paw has decided to call him Cracker-Jack. Dallas is hoping we get him at our house to show next summer.
Reba loved being able to love on one of her babies for next summer.
While we were out in the barn, Aunt Lisa noticed there was a new baby in pasture. Dallas was thrilled to be able to bring it up to the barn.
Ma-maw working her "baby whisperer" magic on Julianne. She is one of the few who can actually rock that girl to sleep!
We ended our long weekend with a little more fun with our families before making the trip home. On Sunday, we helped Pa-paw and Aunt Lisa shear off the older ewes in preparation of fall lambing. Even Dallas and Reba took a turn with the electric clippers!
We of course had to play with tractors - big and small before leaving!
Julianne also got to take a ride on "Mac"
I decided we needed to have a treat about halfway home...Can you believe they ate the entire thing?!?!
Once we got home and got the van unloaded, it was time to do chores. Once that job was finished, the kiddos wanted to swing. Apparently, Julianne had met her quota of fun for the weekend.
Dallas and Reba had their second tball game the same weekend as Julianne's baptism. Daddy was excited that he was able to attend, and he even got to help because one of the coaches wasn't able to be there.
Gram and Aunt Josie were also there to spoil entertain Julianne. (Oh, and Pa was there too, just not in the photo)
Dallas got to play 1st base at one point - sorry, my camera focused on the fence, not the Big D
Little Miss was playing short stop - ready to snag a grounder
Reba "scored"
And a little later, Dallas crossed the plate
Dallas also got another hit off the pitching machine!
Our Easter shenanigans started on Saturday with Doug's family. Doug ended up working rather late Friday night, so we didn't head north until early Saturday. Thankfully, it was an absolutely beautiful weekend, and we were able to spend a lot of time outside.
The kiddos with Gram and Aunt Josie getting ready to "go hunting".
My favorite picture of Reba from the weekend... she was so excited to find a pink egg!
Taking a break to make sure they were getting the same amount of eggs
Dallas' tractor basket got full, so he started using Julianne's caterpillar basket!
Reba still loves it when Daddy tosses her in the air (Dallas loves to be tossed as well, but he is getting too big to fly)
Easter morning started with Mass at Pa and Gram's church. Reba was over the moon excited about Julianne and her having similar dresses. Thankfully, I was also able to convince Dallas to wear a purple shirt and tie to coordinate.
We were finally able to get a picture of the 5 of us (the only other one I have is from the day Julianne was born; all piled in my hospital bed)
After church, we headed over to Pa-paw and Ma-maw's house for breakfast. Then, we loaded up and headed to my cousin's house. After lunch, everyone headed outside for the big egg hunt. I was able to get a quick photo of the hunters before they were released out into the yard...
It was so much fun to watch all the little ones roam the yard and find all the treasures.
Little Miss taking a short break - or supervising the boys?
I thought this was too cute of Vivian - "Wait! I got to fix my shoe"
I was able to get these two sweeties to pause long enough for a photo - Grace and Reba
Dallas, Aunt Lisa and Reba
After the egg hunt was over, someone brought out a bubble machine. The kiddos LOVED it!
Waiting patiently for the bubbles to start...
I was busy feeding Julianne, but Ma-maw grabbed my camera and got this video of the kiddos running about.
