...it is not
Dallas has been two weeks battling bronchitis. Three times a day he has been hooked up to the nebulizer machine. On Monday, he was bumped up to four treatments a day. When this first started, he was OK with sitting and doing the treatment (about 10 minutes/treatment), but he is now starting to fight us. Luckily, he still has his appetite and high energy level, and he doesn't have a fever. It is the coughing and wheezing in his breathing that is the problem and it has not improved since being on medication. We just keep praying that he will get better soon, and that it will not turn into pneumonia.
Until next time...

Moments I don't want to forget...
I often tell people that I wish I had a video camera running all the time to capture various moments with the kiddos and random things they say. So if these videos look a little "staged" - they are. I admit it, but I just want to always remember their little voices saying such important things. Enjoy!

Pig Tails and Prayers
Reba sported her first set of pig tails today! They lasted all morning and then she went down for naptime. We will have to try again another day.
As far as prayers...I haven't mentioned much about the house selling process because there has not been much to mention. The housing market (as most of you know) is slow, and it is especially slow in Williamsburg, Iowa. Early last week when I talked with our realtor, she had not shown a house ...any house... in over 2 weeks!
Ouch.
Doug and I have been saying our prayers for patience through all of this, and of course, praying that St. Joseph will help us. Then...yesterday, we got a call from the realtor. Our house was shown twice over the weekend! Whoo-hoo! It was the first time since Christmas that it had been shown.
So...if you all could add a few extra prayers for: The housing market to pick up (especially in W'burg); that, if it is according to God's plan right now, that He send us a good buyer, one who is eager, compliant, and honest; and that nothing impede for a rapid conclusion of the sale, we would be greatly appreciative.

A Sad Day
I'm deeply saddened to leave this update for our neighbor, Jess. The following was posted on Jess' blog by her dad this morning:
Jessica, born May 15 1994, passed away at 1:30 this morning at University Of Iowa Hospitals. Services are pending at this time. Thank you all for the prayers and thoughts over the past 2 months. Jessica has went to be with her lord and that in itself is a great comfort to our family. She is free of pain, disease, and machines. She now enjoys the fruit of knowing our Lord Jesus Christ.
I also want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. It will be a tough time for our community, but with God's grace we will make it through.
Until next time...

Prayer Request
Hello Everyone. I am using this time to ask for your prayers for our neighbor, Jessica. She is a freshman at Williamsburg High School. She has been battling a deadly virus at the University of Iowa Hospital in the intensive care unit since Nov 18, 2008. She has a very rare mono virus called HLH. It only occurs one in a million. She has a long road ahead of her, but she is a fighter.
There is a community group holding a benefit dinner and silent auction on Jan. 31st to help the family. I'm not asking for you to donate, but just keep Jessica and her family in your prayers. I will keep you updated as I find out more information.
