Taylorsville Toy Show

Julianne was able to attend her first toy show today!  We loaded up early this morning and made the drive over to Taylorsville, KY.  Shortly after we arrived, Dallas' name was drawn for a door prize, and then Gram and Pa arrived!  The FFA chapter puts on the show each year, and they do a great job!  They have lots of vendors, an amazing amount of farm displays, a play area for kids, and Santa!
Julianne really didn't know what to think of Santa...
Like I said, they have a play area for kids.  One section is a sand corn box, and the other is full of pedal tractors!  It took a little convincing to get the kiddos out of the corn box and hop on a pedal, but then we couldn't get them off the pedals to go get some food!

After leaving the show, we crossed the road to grab some food at Dairy Queen!  I was able to capture a good picture of Julianne with Gram

Bottle Up!

Little Julianne has been having some issues with her bowel movements since coming home from the hospital (as in not having any).  The lactation nurse that has been checking on us since we were discharged suggested we give Julianne a few bottles (of pumped milk) each day to help get things moving.  The older kiddos absolutely love this idea because they can now help even more!

St. Wendel Christmas Program

Tonight was Dallas' school Christmas program.  I have a few videos to share, but I want to apologize for the shaky quality.  Doug headed north this afternoon to attend a funeral for a dad of a friend, so I was holding Julianne in my arms and Reba was squirming on my leg!

The program was entitled "365 Days of Christmas".  Each grade represented a different part of the calendar year as to how we can show our love of Jesus and His birth all year long.  Dallas' class had Halloween, that's why they are dressed in Halloween costumes.

Dog Sledding

Daddy, Dallas and Reba ventured out a few more times this past week to play in the snow.  They even got the sleds out.  The first day, Daddy pulled the kiddos around.  The second day, Dallas had the idea to hook the dogs to the sled!  Enjoy the little videos I put together of the pictures I took from inside (the video recordings didn't work so well through the windows)

Playing in the Snow

Remember how I mentioned that we watched the snow fall from the hospital room?  Well, the older kiddos were itching to get outside and play in it.  Since school was canceled for today, Daddy bundled them up and headed out!

They even let Charlie and Fred out of the kennel to run and play

Dallas thought the snow needed to be raked - or maybe he was pretending to be a plow or disk or cultivator...
Reba was attempting to make a snowball
Then Dallas decided to try his hand at snowball.  He was a little more successful - especially when he nailed Daddy as he came out of the garage!
