The other day when I was mowing, I noticed the strawberries were beginning to ripen. Today, we all headed out to the patch to see if there were any worth picking. Needless to say, we found a few...

TBall Game 3
Reba had her third game this morning against a St. Joe team. She was able to play 1st base this time!
Little Miss even got hits off the pitching machine each time she was up to bat!

Dallas' Last Reader Theater
Today was another Reader Theater day for Dallas' class. Reba happily stayed for extended care after PreK, so Julianne and I were able to attend and watch the class perform. It's always fun to see them.
The first group to go performed a story about an unruly class and the changes that happen when they got a substitute teacher for a few days. It was super cute!
The second group read the "true" story of the three little pigs.
Dallas and Dylan were the third group, and their story was about two dinosaurs - a meat eater and a plant eater.Thursday, May 14, 2015
Chocolate Lover
My parents tell a story about my sister getting into the baby powder when we were very little. I have heard the story multiple times, and I was able to get a very clear visual of that scene tonight - only it was chocolate powder...
Julianne was pretty proud of herself for being able to get the coco powder container open while I was in another room; that girl just can't stay clean!Thankfully, the container was almost empty, but it was still a mess!

Planting
Between all the spring rains and Doug's own planting schedule, we have had a difficult time getting our own garden started this year. At last though, Julianne and I headed over to a local greenhouse this morning and picked up a few plants for the garden.
I sent Doug the following picture in a text, saying this was on the agenda for evening.
We planted bell peppers, tomatoes, broccoli, and sweet potatoes tonight. We have seeds that need to get in the ground as well, but we ran out of daylight.
Last year, Julianne sat on the side lines and watched us plant the garden. This year was a different story. She was right in the thick of things, getting her little hands dirty - along with her face, shirt, and everything else!
Until next time...
