Plowing

The weather was finally right to allow Doug to get the tractor and plow out of the barn and work the garden.  We were not able to do this last year, and sadly, we had a lot of weeds this past summer.  Let's hope this will help control the weeds much better!

Unfortunately, it got too dark once Doug was finished with the garden that we were not able to clean the plow and paint the moldboards.  Therefore, he had to plow some of the back lot to clear the moldboards.  Dallas and Reba thought it was the best thing to run up and down the furrows!
(The cats loved running in the "dead furrow" as well, watch closely and you can see them too.)

Real Trick or Treating

I have heard in previous years that St. Wendel is a great place to trick or treat, and this year, Dallas heard the talk at school as well.  Doug and I decided the kiddos were big enough to take this year and give it a try.  Wouldn't you know, we pick the coldest Halloween to walk around town and knock on doors!  Oh, well.  Dallas and Reba had a blast, and they came home with quite a load of goodies.

The kiddos had to go up to the door and knock on their own.  They did an awesome job!

Check out those bagful of candy!
Hopefully, next year it will be warmer.

Until next time...

Reba's Class Party

I was able to help this morning in Reba's classroom for her Halloween party. Since the holiday actually fell on a school day, she was able to dress in her costume.

Sliding at Kelsay Farms

I forgot to upload this video with the post from our trip to Kelsay Farms.  The kiddos thought this was a pretty weird slide!
