Fun(?) Friday Fotos

On the night of October 24, just before bedtime, Dallas was carrying a wooden puzzle back to Reba's room.  At the same moment, Reba was rounding the corner out of her room.  You can imagine what happened next.  The corner of the puzzle met Reba's face; just below her right eye.  Within seconds the area started swelling and the bruise started to appear.  Within 10 minutes of the crash, this is what Little Miss' eye looked like...
Three days later, the bruise was still growing...
This is what it looked like a few days ago...
The best response/comment came from Reba's preschool teacher as soon as we walked into class on Tuesday.  (Mind you, the accident happened on Thursday night - so that was the first her teacher had seen her)  As soon as Mrs. Gries saw Reba, she said, "What did brother do to you?"  Most everyone else would simply say, "What happened?!", but her teacher knew Dallas had to be involved :)

Until next time...

Week 36

As I mentioned if my previous post, today starts week 36!  Here's what I'm looking like these days...
Everything is going extremely well with Baby B, and my check-up this morning went well too.  I think I was only up a pound from my visit two weeks ago, and my blood pressure was back to my "normal" range (106/72).  The baby's heart rate was in the 140's, and the doctor says Baby is head down.  Today, I had the routine Group B Strep infection test done, and I will find out the results at next week's appointment.  Lastly, my doctor also scheduled me for one last ultrasound to take measurements of Baby.  That will be next week as well, so you can all look forward to "seeing" Baby again before delivery!

I continue to experience lots of heartburn/indigestion.  I don't remember having much while pregnant with Dallas, but I do remember it with Reba.  An old wives tale states that the heartburn means a head full of hair.  Well, Reba definitely had more hair than Dallas.  We'll have to wait and see what happens this go 'round.

Speaking of hair, you may have noticed in this week's photo that my hair is starting to get a wave back to it.  This happen while pregnant with Dallas, and then my hair went back straight when pregnant with Reba.  It should be interesting, that's for sure!

Until next time...

Baby Poll

Today marks the start of week 36 in this pregnancy...meaning we are only 4 weeks from Baby B#3's due date!  With that being said...it is time to start submitting your guesses for the Baby Poll!  I really enjoyed doing this while pregnant with Dallas (Buckwheat) and Reba (Gertie), and I hope you all will join in on the fun once again.

Here's what you do...

1) Click on the comment link at the end of this post
2) Take a guess at what day Baby B#3 will arrive
3) Take a guess at what Baby B's length will be
4) Take a guess at what Baby B's weight will be
5) Finally, take a guess if Baby B is a boy or girl!

Make sure to leave your name, especially if you don't have a blog log in name.

Here's how you can play if you don't have a log in: Leave your guesses, and then select the "button" for either -Name/URL or -Anonymous.

If you choose -Name/URL, then just type your name in the name box...You can leave the URL box blank.

Here are some helpful tips when thinking of your guesses. My due date is Dec. 5, and has not changed with this pregnancy.  With Reba, my due date was Nov. 19th and did not changed during the pregnancy. She was born on Nov. 17th - by induction.  Reba weighed 7 lb 4 oz and was 20 in long.  With Dallas my due date was originally March 24th, then it was moved to March 4th. Dallas arrived March 11th - by induction. Dallas weighed 8 lb 8 oz and was 21.5 in long.

I am off to this week's prenatal check-up later this morning, so I will update (hopefully) with the current baby bump photo this afternoon.

Until next time...guess away!

Story Time with Reba

Sorry it is a little shaky at the beginning, but I just had to share.
Dallas had brought home this book from the library on a Wednesday, and I recorded this on the following Friday.  Needless to say, Reba loves the story!

Until next time...

Book-It Pizza

Who remembers doing the Book-It program in elementary school?  Yep, Doug and I have our hands in the air, too.  Dallas' class started turning in their "reports" at the beginning of October.  He has to complete 4 reports in the month in order to earn a personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.  We are pleased to announce that he met the goal; so last week, we headed out for pizza!
He was so proud of himself!  He only ate one slice that night, but brought the rest home for left overs.  Now, he can't wait to get started on this months goal!

Until next time...
