A - Z Show and Share

As part of PreK, Dallas had Show and Share.  Each week the class discussed a letter of the alphabet (beginning with A and ending with Z).  Then, on Friday, the kiddos were to bring something that started with the letter of the week.  Dallas decided to make it a challenge to take a tractor each week.  After a few weeks, I had the idea to take photos of his show and share items...without further ado, enjoy!

Fun Friday Fotos - Dirt Track Races

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Doug and I took the kiddos to the dirt track in Haubstadt for a little bit of fun!  You might remember us going last summer.  Anywho...I didn't take my camera for fear of dropping it through the bleachers, so the photos came from my phone...

Needless to say, everyone had a great time, and Dallas drank 3 pops (a Mt. Dew, a Cherry Coke, and a Ski) while we were there!  He was wired the entire time.

Strawberries!

This is only the second year for our strawberries, but they sure have done well!

This was the first night we picked...

We all enjoyed a bowl of ice cream and berries that night

The next night we enjoyed a strawberry pie

Then, after the next pickin', I made 15 jars of strawberry jam.

And after the third pickin', I made 9 jars of strawberry-rhubarb jam and froze about a gallon-sized bag of berries to use in pies later!

T-Ball Game #4

Dallas had his 4th game on May 19th.  It was a make up game for one that had been rained out at the beginning of the month.  Unfortunately, Daddy had to go plant that afternoon and wasn't able to attend.  It was rather hot that afternoon, so we opted for shorts for this game.  I reminded Dallas multiple times not to slide into home plate!

The kiddos only advance one base at a time unless it's the last batter on the team, then they continue all the way around.  It's often hard for the kiddos to remember when to stop and when to go, but I loved this running one of Dallas - even if he had to go back to second base :)

While waiting on second, he had to switch batting helmets (we were a few short that night, they were rotating).  The "new" one was a bit small...

Rounding third for home (and, yes, he remembered to not slide!)

Dallas was once again able to play defense up by the pitching machine, and he was able to field a couple hits.

T-Ball Game #3

Not only was Daddy finally able to make it to a t-ball game on May 18, but Pa, Gram and Aunt Josie were also able to make it.

While Dallas was waiting to run to third base, he decided to kick the dirt off second base.  Only problem was that the little guy covering second base kept putting more dirt on the bag!

Dallas played a little defense close to the pitching machine.  This was a great place for him because he was able to stay focused on the batter...

and he was able to field a couple balls!
