Chicks

Our baby chicks are growing!
It is amazing how quickly they change; I guess that is a common thing with any baby.

Here's Reba showing off her chick; the fuzzy necks.
And Dallas showing off his chick; a naked neck.
Daddy was able to snapped a "better" picture of what the naked neck looks like.  Let it be know, I think it is the ugliest chick, but Dallas thinks they are the coolest!
The kiddos then decided to make funny faces...

Julianne was a little interested in the chicks

Fun Friday Fotos and Flicks

A few weeks ago, while playing in the garage, I thought it would be appropriate for Julianne to actually get to sit on her pedal tractor - you know before Dallas and Reba wear the treads off the tires!
Dallas then decided to take his baby sis for a ride...
Well, you know...Monkey See, Monkey Do.  Reba tried to take Julianne for a ride, but "she's too heavy" according to Reba.
Check out Julianne's newest trick
That video was from the first day she rolled (March 17), she has gotten much, much faster!
Now, she needs to remember how to roll from her belly to her back...

Until next time...

Snuggles

This week the older kiddos are up north for "Spring Break," although it might be one of the coldest spring breaks on record...

Anywho.  I usually try to have a project around the house to do while Dallas and Reba are gone (paint the kitchen, pull down wallpaper, make a sandboxbuild a chicken coop, etc), but this year, my project is:

More Cuddle time with Julianne!
I am pleased to report we are right on track!  I have been able to rock my baby to sleep more than once, give her all my attention, and just enjoy her!  Although, she is taking this extra attention a little too far, as she has woke up at 2 am the last two nights.  Let's hope this is a quick phase, and her regular sleep schedule will return soon.

Until next time...

These are a few of my favorite things...

I know you have all been waiting patiently for Dallas' 6th Birthday Interview.
These kiddos never seem to stop surprising me!  As with Reba's last interview, I would have answered some of the questions differently if I would have done this survey for Dallas.

For instance:
Favorite subject/special: Art Class
Favorite color: Red
Favorite toy: CAT combine he received at Christmas
Favorite thing to wear: Fuzzy pants
Favorite animal: chickens
Favorite song: Sherry by Frankie Valli and Four Seasons
Favorite kind of tractor: Wheel Horse or International 1206
Favorite snack: S'mores
Favorite drink: V8 V-fusion (also known as "work juice" in our house)
Favorite football team: Denver Broncos

Until next time...

Snowman and Sledding

I can't believe that on Dallas' birthday (Tuesday, March 11th) the temperature was in the 70's, and the following day it snowed!  The temps stayed below normal for the rest of the week, but on Saturday, it warmed up again - just in time for the birthday party!  Little did we think we would being playing in the snow once again Sunday afternoon...
Daddy, Dallas and Reba wrapped up and headed outside to play.  I stayed inside with Julianne (until she went down for a nap, then I went out)  The snow had just the right amount of moisture to build a snowman.  Daddy rolled the ball for the bottom, while Reba worked on the middle section.

Dallas then started working on the head section
Unfortunately, the snowballs picked up a lot of dirt and leaves, so we gathered more snow and covered the dirty spots.

Reba and I found some dark rocks to use for the face, and Daddy and Dallas found the sticks for the arms and the hat.
Once we finished the snowman, the kiddos wanted to get out the sleds.  Reba wanted me to pull her and Daddy to pull Dallas.  I hurt my back earlier in the week, so I didn't think it would be a good idea to pull a 30+ pound child around.  Daddy had a better idea - and got the Wheel Horse out to pull them!
Off they go!

I'm not sure who had a bigger smile - Daddy or Dallas and Reba
One last ride, with Buddy?!?!
I was even able to get a few videos...enjoy!
Until next time...

Fun Friday Fotos - Dallas' 6th Birthday

Last weekend we had our families down to help celebrate Dallas' 6th Birthday!  As you will see in the following pictures, Dallas was spoiled with lots of new toys and clothes.  Thank you for your outpouring of love to our little man!

Aunt Katie wasn't able to make it back for the party, but she sent her gift early!
Dallas can't wait to get the pool out to give the snorkel a try!

Getting ready to open presents (The kiddos found a package of balloons we bought but never opened during our vacation to Wisconsin Dells!  They have had a lot of fun with them this past week)
Even the wrapping got in the Duck Dynasty spirit!
Gram and Aunt Lisa playing with Julianne before getting started opening gifts
Daddy and Reba patiently waiting too

He didn't waste any time hooking it up to his truck!

"A fishie!"  Good thing he got that fish bowl!
Dallas decided to name him "Dodge" - unfortunately, Dodge passed away on Tuesday
Some new shirts - Dallas enjoys singing "What Does the Fox Say" and he had to have a Quack Pack shirt!
Along with a talking Willie

Reba helped open all the cards...while Dallas kept opening gifts
Some more new clothes
Daddy was being funny...
Happy Birthday Dallas!  We are so blessed to have you in our lives.  We wish you many more happy years to come.  We love you and are so incredibly proud of you.
