Over-night Stay with Pa & Gram

The other weekend, the kiddos were able to go spend a couple nights with Pa and Gram.  Enjoy the photos that Aunt Josie shared with us...

Dallas was super excited to check out Pa's new lift for his lawn mower.
Some how Reba got an ouchie on her forehead...and the yellow band-aid made it all better!
The kiddos went to visit with one of Aunt Josie's friends (Emily) who happens to have many animals that they absolutely loved

There were the goats...
This short little dog that Dallas called "Low Rider"
an alpaca
which is different than the llama
and there was a pony!
Back at Pa and Gram's, Dallas found Daddy's old cowboy hat, and thought he looked great in it!
Until next time...

Fun Friday Fotos

It is a very rare occasion when I iron clothes, but last weekend Dallas (yes, my 4 year old) had a couple shirts that needed to be pressed.  Reba thought ironing was the coolest thing she had ever seen, so she decided to press some of Lucy's clothes! (and yes, she does have on pants - shorts, actually)
Dallas went back to school on Monday after his two week Christmas vacation.  Do you think there is much change from the first day of Pre-K?
There has also been more painting this week
and a slumber party in the kitchen!
Lastly, Dallas had been asking Daddy for a new hat.  Not any old hat, but a DeKalb hat.  And wouldn't you know, Daddy came through...
Until next time...

Random Picture

I was going through pictures this morning, and I came across this one that I hadn't posted.
The kiddos kept pretending they were fork trucks moving all the pillows in the house (notice the pile to the right of the picture).  Only, in order to be able to move the "heavy loads" they had to wear their special hats!

You can always count on them for a good laugh!

Until next time...

Amana Tractor Shows

Today we headed to Homestead (one of the 7 Amana colonies) for the Annual Minneapolis-Moline Reunion, and then we venutred to Middle Amana where the Allis-Chalmers show was also being held.
Although the show was for MM and AC, the first vendor we came across was Wally's Tractor Hats. This is the same guy where I bought Dallas' Oliver hat for his birthday. Right away, Doug and I spotted this hat and thought a special little girl needed it...
Those farmer's will tinker and modify anything! (in case you can't tell, that's a picnic table on the flatbed)
In previous years, the MM and AC shows were both in Homestead, so when the parade started the MM's would come from one direction and the AC's would come from the other. This year, as mentioned before, the AC's were in Middle Amana; therefore, the parade only consisted of MM's. It was still a great time and Dallas walked away with a couple handfuls of candy!
While in the Amana's we did a little garage sale shopping! You just can't beat the prices there...
13 items for around $5...one pair of jeans for Dallas and the rest are jeans, shorts, skirts, & summer outfits for Reba
Until next time...
