Julianne's 1st FreezePop

Dallas and Reba asked for popsicles today, and of course, Julianne thought she needed one too.
Yep, she loved it!

Reba's 1st Game and Hit

Reba had her first TBall game tonight, Dallas had a game, and Doug was busy planting!  Luckily, I have a good friend who has a son on Reba's team, and a son on Dallas' team, and her husband farms too.  We were able to share rides, and get all the kiddos were they needed to be on time.

Reba had a lot of fun, and she even got a little dribbler of a hit off the machine.

Wagon Ride

We are still getting use out of the little red wagon...
Just for fun...look back at this post of the kiddos in the wagon.

Baseball Game 2

Dallas' Pinto team had their second game this evening.  They played their first game last Saturday against a Mt. Vernon team, which they won.  Tonight was against the St. Ben team.
Dallas had a great hit!  After the game, we had to have a little chat about the basics of base running.  He over-ran 2nd base, but was able to get back in time.  Then, he didn't tag home plate as he ran in to score because the catcher "was in his way".  Thankfully, he came from the dugout and was able to tag and get the run before the other team was able to get the ball to the catcher!  In the end, we won! And it was a great night of baseball.

Garden Tilling

We had a very busy day outside today.  Doug borrowed a tractor and tiller, and worked the garden for the first time this spring.  Of course, he had a few little people very willing to help, too.

Fun Friday Foto - Roll Over

As I was taking the kiddos to school today, the van had a bit of a milestone...

We purchased the van at the end of March in 2012 with about 27,000.  In 3 short years, we have drove nearly 75,000 miles!

Photo Shoot

Dallas and Reba were riding their pedals out the garage today, and even Julianne hopped on hers.  Although, she didn't go very far.  I then decided to have a little fun with some pictures while they were in the mood to be on the tractors!

Let's hope the tooth fairy has deep pockets.

Dentist Visit

Dallas and Reba had a check-up with the dentist today.  And thankfully, there were no cavities!  See ya in 6 months...

There is a little bench at the entrance of the dentist office, and the kiddos love to get their photo taken on it each time we go.  I'm not sure if they will all fit on it at the next visit!
*I tried finding the older photos of them on it, but I wasn't successful...

Basketball, Pie and Ice Cream...Oh, my!

Dallas got a new net for the basketball goal in his Easter basket, and Daddy was able to put it up tonight.
Dallas' first shot up...got stuck!
After a few more attempts, he finally made one.

Our rhubarb is just about ready to be cut, so I figured I had better use up what is still in the freezer from last year.  That meant pie and ice cream was on the menu for dessert tonight!
Even Sugar snuck in a few bites from Big Sis' bowl...

Easter Goodies and Exhaustion

Dallas and Reba got some Duck Dynasty tattoos in their Easter baskets.  They have been asking everyday since for me to put them on.  I finally caved today...
I think some little one is still exhausted from all the running around we have been doing lately.  She crashed on the kitchen floor today!

Easter

With Dallas having had a baseball scrimmage game on Saturday, we stayed in town for the majority of the weekend.  We were also able to go to our church for Easter morning Mass.  It is the first time we have done this since Dallas was born.  Thankfully, the kiddos let me grab a quick photo after church.
We then quickly changed and got back in the van to head to my cousin Kathleen's house for the afternoon.  It was a gorgeous afternoon and the little cousins were able to run and play in the yard!
Later in the day, we lined up all the littles for a picture before releasing them into the yard for an egg hunt!
L-R: Brooks, James, Bria, Me (hanging onto) Julianne, Dallas, Grace, Vivian, George Martin, Austin, and Reba
Julianne knew exactly what to do!
Again, the best part is breaking open the eggs to find out what is inside!

Some of the kiddos got a small sports ball in their eggs, they then proceeded to throw it in the yard...

Which led to a bit of a tackle-fest among the older boys
While the girls enjoyed chasing the bubbles
I hope you were able to enjoy your Easter celebrating the joyous resurrection of our Lord with your loved ones.

Growing Up

We moved our chickens outside, and they love the new space.
They have really been growing and changing!

Julianne loves to go see the "chic-chic"
This is one of the new bantams Doug bought, we love the feathering on its legs.

Baseball and Easter

Dallas is playing in the Pinto league at St. Wendel Athletic Club this spring.  We are learning all the ins and outs of the league as we go, including fundraising.  The first fundraiser we did was Smoked Ribs and Pork Butts.  The league smoked the meat today during the scrimmage games.  Let me tell you, it smelled absolutely amazing!

In the Pinto league, there is no pitcher, but a pitching machine.  The boys get 4 strikes or 6 pitches off the machine before they are out.  An inning is over when they defense gets 3 outs, or the batting team scores 5 runs.  We play 6 innings or for an hour and a half.

Reba had Tball practice this morning at the same time as Dallas' game, so Doug took pictures for me.  Dallas was able to get 2 hits off the machine, but he was thrown out at first base each time.
There are two Pinto teams at St. Wendel, and unfortunately, the other team won today.
After the game, we came back to the house.  Pa, Gram and Aunt Josie brought some Easter goodies for the kiddos, and they were excited to see what was in their baskets!

You might remember, Julianne latched onto the Daniel Tiger Reba received for her birthday.  Gram thought Julianne would enjoy Katerina, but Reba has now taken a liking to it!

Aunt Josie and Gram then hid Easter eggs in the back yard.

The best part of hunting eggs? Checking out all the goodies that were hidden inside!
