Daddy's Golden Birthday!

Today Daddy turned 30 on the 30th!  His "golden" birthday, as some might say.
We celebrated by going out to eat at a fabulous local restuarant, The Log Inn.  It is the oldest restuarant in Indiana, and it has the best fried chicken!
Daddy and Dallas in their matching (Dallas) Clark shirts
Not sure why she was sticking that bottom lip out to Daddy, but it was kind of cute...
Can't take ones' picture without taking the others'
The kiddos were excited to give Daddy his birthday present.
I'm surprised neither of them spoiled the surprise of what we got Daddy (a new basketball!)
We finished off the night by trick or treating at Boo at the Zoo! (more on that in another post)

Pumpkin Farm - Trip II

Earlier in the week, the Mommies & Munchkins group took a field to Goebel's Pumpkin Farm.  You might remember that Doug and I took the kiddos there a few weeks ago while Daddy was on vacation.

Our friend Carla was there with her daughters.  Here's the best picture I got of the three kiddos before the adventure began!
We were able to go feed the fish at the pond.  Reba was wondering where the food went...
We then took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch.  The kiddos were able to choose any pumpkin they wanted - but they had to be able to carry it.

Dallas' first pick was a little too big
These were a bit more their size
Then, I couldn't resist with a few of the photo opts...

We also had a chance to go down the lofty high barn slide again!

Tractor Tales

While up north last weekend, Doug attended an auction with his parents.  I learned that you just never know what you will walk away with from auction...

For example - a new (to us) tractor and bushhog!
The kiddos loved riding around with Daddy
and Momma
Reba also loved riding around with Pa
Now, we have to work on getting two tractors down to Evansville!

Early Trick-or-Treating

We were up to visit the grandparents over the weekend, and since we won't be around for Halloween, we thought everyone would enjoy a little trick-or-treating fun!

Dallas was very insistent on the cat being in the picture.
We also went to see GG (Great-Granny)
The kiddos loved playing with the chalk at GG's apartment.
I thought this was a good one with Ma-maw
Next weekend we are dressing up again for Boo at the Zoo!  I hope the weather stays decent and that the kiddos enjoy it.

Fun Friday Fotos - Boonville Tractor Show

Last weekend, Gram, Pa and Aunt Josie came to visit for the weekend.  On Saturday we headed to the Boonville Tractor Show.  Luckily, the sun came out and it wasn't too chilly.  Enjoy some pictures from our day.
Yes, we ended up bringing the green lawn mower home!

Playing in the Leaves

While Daddy was on vacation last week, he raked up a leaf pile for the kiddos to jump in and run through and have some fun!  And, that they did.
Enjoy some video clips of *all* the kiddos enjoying the pile!
Don't be fooled by Reba.  She was loving the leaves just as much as everyone else...until I turned on the camera!  Also, sorry for all the wind noise in the first part of the video; and here I thought we escaped that when we left Iowa. :)

Until next time...

Wordless Wednesday - My Handy Helpers

While Daddy was on vacation last week, I had a few items on the Honey-to-do List - i.e. installing door stops; luckily, he had some helpers.

Fun Friday Fotos (Flashback)

I'm still waiting on a new power adapter for my computer, so I was browsing the pictures on Doug's computer - here are a couple cute ones I found...
He was giving her a kiss; not biting her nose.  I promise.
side note: I'm not going to miss that drafty old house this winter!
Ahh, where have the last 2 years gone?

Until next time...

The Pumpkin Patch

If you weren't aware, Doug took this week off to spend some time at home now that harvest is over at work.  Needless to say, the kiddos are LOVING having Daddy at home to play.  Today, we took the dogs to the vet to get up-to-date on shots and general check-ups.  They had great check-ups, and I'm happy to report that Charlie is down to 79 pounds and Fred is down to 46 pounds!

Sorry, got a little off track - after taking the dogs to the vet, we ventured out to Goebel Farms' pumpkin patch!  The kiddos had so much.  Take a look -

There were two little kittens that greeted us as soon as we arrived
Pumpkins, Tractors, Kittens - Oh, my!
Then, there was the awesome wheat play table
We were actually able to take a nice family picture
I had to take Reba to the truck at one point (dirty diaper duty), when I noticed I could have been charged with pumpkin theft!
I was more than happy to pay in full once I realized the price was a *HOT* deal
There was a "petting zoo" area where the kiddos could feed the goats
and see some rabbits
Then, the real fun...the Lofty High Barn Slide
The straw mountain/maze area
Daddy swinging from the rafters
We let the kiddos pick a pumpkin before we left.  Reba didn't put hers down the rest of the day!
Until next time...

I apologize for the red eyes and lack of adequate cropping.  Something crazy happened to our computer's power cord, so I don't have access to my normal editing software.
