I'm alive

Hello Blogging Friends and Followers!

I promise all is well with the Bergman family. I am currently in Indiana with the kiddos, and Doug is in Iowa working to provide for our family :) We came back to Indiana last Friday for a friend's wedding and the Greensburg Tractor Show. I am staying an extra week, as my 10 year class reunion in this coming Saturday. I have so many pictures to share, but I didn't bring my transfer cord so you will have to wait until I get home Sunday evening.

Until next time...

Rushville Tractor Show

Last weekend we enjoyed three full days at the Rushville tractor show. It was a lot of fun to visit with family and friends, ride on the tractors, drive in and watch the parades, eat ice cream, and look through the flea market area. The first day we were there, we were the Oliver family (photo on left), and the second day, we were more 'sporting the John Deere's (photo on right)*
Enjoying a fabulous wagon ride around the grounds
On the first day, both kids crashed while riding through the parade!
Reba enjoyed playing in Pa's little wagon (he pulls behind the garden tractor).
Dallas got to sit in Great-Uncle Jake's old International truck
Aunt Josie, Dallas, Pa, Reba and Gram (enjoying one of the many pineapple whips!)
Reba enjoyed playing in the gravel at the playground...
...while Dallas enjoyed going down the slide!
Can you believe they are already fighting over who gets to drive?!?!
Until next time...

Fun Friday Foto

I know I've missed the last few Fridays, and I am sorry. So, without further ado...

I scream
You scream
We all scream
For Ice Cream!

The kiddos really enjoyed the Pineapple Whips at the tractor show this past weekend
Little Miss Reba couldn't get enough of Pa's ice cream!
Until next time...

Dallas' Big Indiana Adventure ~ Part 2

Dallas made his way to Ma-maw and Pa-paw Robertson's house on July 23rd. He went to an Indianapolis Indians baseball game that night.
One day Dallas was able to help Ma-maw make her famous yeast rolls. He now loves to help in the kitchen!
Of course, he was able to get some valuable reading time in during the day.
I'm guessing that he was waiting on Pa-paw to get home in the big truck!
They spent many evenings at the Jackson County fair. Dallas loved all the tractor displays, the rabbit and chicken barns, and watching Aunt Lisa get the sheep ready for the show.
Dallas kept himself busy during the show by playing in the sawdust with his truck and bobcat, as well as pushing his stroller. By the end of the evening, he was incharge of holding all the ribbons Pa-paw and Aunt Lisa won (including the supreme ram banner!).
I think it is safe to say - he had a fun-filled, jammed-packed week!
Until next time...

Dallas' Big Indiana Adventure ~ Part 1

Dallas left on July 13th for his big summer vacation in Indiana. He stayed at Gram and Pa Bergman's until July 23rd; I thought I would share some of the memories with you.

I have heard that the weather was pretty "warm" in Indiana during the month of July...in order to beat the heat, Dallas found the water hose a tub to fill!
It looks like Gram gave Dallas a few chores around the house.
"Please, no more pictures"
Gram, Pa, and Aunt Josie took Dallas to Renyolds Farm Equipment one afternoon. I think he enjoyed climbing on all the tractors!
Dallas also got to visit Aunt Josie's apartment and check out the playground there.
On another day, they went to a car show...check out a few of the cool rides Dallas wanted to bring home.
I was glad to see this picture of Dallas getting a little bit of reading into his vacation
No trip to Pa's would be complete without getting the lawn mower and pedal tractor out!
"I'm singing in the rain...just singing in the rain...what a glorious feeling..."
I think it is fair to say he had a good stay at Gram and Pa Bergman's
Until next time...

We're Busy, Busy, Busy...

Sorry that I have been absent from the blog scene for a while. Doug, the kids, and I got in last night from a mini-vacation to Indiana. We left around noon on Thursday, and we arrived at my parents' house around 10 o'clock. We spent much of the next 3 days in Rushville, at the Pioneer Engineer's Club (aka: the antique tractor show!). I have pictures that I will post sometime - I can't promise when that will be because our month of August is jammed packed with events!

Still to come will be pictures from the Iowa State Fair. My family is coming on Saturday, with the sheep, to stay for a week. Next, it will be back to Indiana for a friend's wedding and my 10 year class reunion! Then, it will be Labor Day weekend - which brings the extended Robertson family to our home for a Rockin' Robertson Reunion!

So, as you can see...we're busy, busy, busy :)

Oh, yeah. I also have pictures to post of Dallas' stay with the grandparents. They all had such a fun time.

Until next time...

The Sprinkler, More Canning, and Packing Again?

I know Dallas will probably hate me one day for posting pictures like these:
...but he was having such a great time!
I did some more canning yesterday as well, but first I had to find a different/taller water bath canner. Yep, Doug's turkey fryer canister should work...
Why did I need such a tall canner? I was using these half-gallon jars for tomato juice!
One more picture this morning...
Apparently, Dallas is packed and ready to head back to Indiana.
Until next time...

Reba's Nose

One of Reba's latest and greatest tricks is to "blow" her nose. It definitely makes Doug and I bust up laughing each and every time!

I realize you probably can't hear it too well, but that's OK because the "curled up" nose is my favorite part!

Until next time...

Photo Round-up

On Saturday, the weather was rather warm, so Reba went for the coolest approach to swing
Doug, Reba and I went to a baseball game Saturday night, while we were working on supper prior to leaving...Reba took a nap
As you may have or have not heard, Dallas is home! We met my parents and sister in Illinois on Sunday afternoon. This morning, Dallas decided to help me juice some tomatoes. I was rather shocked when I turned to see this...
Yep, he climbed right up on the table like he had done it before! I wonder where he learned that?

Once I got everything set up, Dallas was a great help. He put every single tomato into the juicer for me.
After I took Dallas upstairs for his afternoon nap, I came into the living room to find Reba like this...
I guess she was ready for a nap too.

Until next time...
