Studio Fusion Glass

Katie's present to the ladies and kiddos was a trip to Studio Fusion Glass in Ft. Dodge.  It is this cozy studio where you can design your own glass art piece that will be fired in a kiln.  Items that can be made vary from a necklace charm to a picture frame to a large serving platter.  There is also ceramics that can be painted and glazed by little hands!

Aunt Katie let the kiddos pick two things to paint.  They each chose a bowl and an ornament.

A look down the table as everyone works
Lisa even grabbed my camera for a picture of me working!
A group shot before we left (Reba was a little tired and hungry)
Here are everyone's designs as they looked when we left (they still have to be fired and then mailed to us)

Lisa's platter
I chose coasters
Ma-maw chose a bowl
Granny chose a dish
Katie chose a larger platter
The snowman and purple bowl are Reba's, and the red bowl and stocking are Dallas'.
It was a great morning being crafty and a very unique idea.  We all had a fun time and can't wait to get our finished projects.  I hope to get a "finished" picture of everyone's art to show you the final designs!

Until next time...

Robertson Christmas

Yesterday, we packed up the van early in the morning and started our trip to Aunt Katie's house!  Thankfully, the kiddos all did great on the trip - good thinking on the DVD players, Santa!

GG's first time meeting Julianne
This morning, Daddy was playing airplane with the older kiddos.  After breakfast while everyone was finishing getting ready, they wanted to fly again, so Pa-paw volunteered to take them up.

Finally, it was time to start opening presents, but first...yep, Momma had to get a picture!
I was able to take more pictures today because Ma-maw "volunteered" to hold Julianne.  Good thing Dallas and Reba were very willing to help others open their presents!

Dallas showing off his new football from Aunt Katie
Have you seen this commercial?
Aunt Katie introduced Doug to it at Thanksgiving, and he, of course, loved it!  Therefore, Kate and Brian thought Doug needed this shirt...

Us girls went together and got this family birthday and anniversary wall hanging for Granny.  Each round "charm" contains a family members name and date of birth and hangs from the respective month.  The heart-shaped "charms" have anniversary dates.

Aunt Katie decided to read some stories to Little Julianne
Meanwhile, Pa-paw and Reba worked on a puzzle together!

Our Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we headed over to Aunt Pat's house (Doug's family) and had a wonderful time eating too much and playing card games; all the while Little Julianne was oo-ed and ah-ed over!  We left there and made the trip back to our house so we could prepare for Santa to come...which included tossing the reindeer food Dallas brought home from school.

We then set out a plate of cookies and milk for Santa, and a few carrots for the reindeer.

This morning we went to morning Mass, and then came home to see what Santa had left for us!

Dallas and Reba first looked in their stockings, and then I wanted a picture with the presents.  They chose to sit in front of the ones Santa left, not the ones under the tree...
*excuse Dallas with his shirt half opened.  I think he was going to change out of his church clothes, but then decided it would take to long and delay the present opening!

Santa brought them each a portable DVD player and headphones to use in the van - a perfect thing to have on our upcoming Iowa trip!

Dallas couldn't wait to get his paws on this big box (a new CAT combine)
Reba was thrilled about her new princess socks
Dallas made us a few different gifts at school, and he even made the wrapping paper!  This was a little stocking he stitched and filled with hugs and kisses (you know, the Hershey kind)
A new air seeder for Dallas' farming operations
Little Miss got some new pink boots!
Momma got a magazine rack
I do believe every year Dallas feels the need to crawl completely under the tree to get to presents
Taking a little break to get some Julianne lovin'
Dallas has been asking for this Hagie sprayer since he first saw it last February at the St. Louis Toy Show.
Daddy and Momma had one last surprise for Dallas and Reba after the wrapped presents were opened...
Daddy repainted Dallas' trike and Reba got a pink pedal tractor!

Santa also brought Dallas and Reba Lego tractors and wagons.  They were very excited to put them together.  Momma helped Dallas
and Daddy helped Reba
*Momma has since reassembled above said tractors multiple times each day :)

Overall, we had a wonderful day at home enjoying the blessings God has provided us.

Until next time...

Bergman Christmas

Dallas and Reba headed up to Pa and Gram's house on Friday after school so Doug and I could finish some Christmas projects and few other odds and ends without little helpers!  Doug, Julianne and I then came up last night.  Today we celebrate Christmas and exchanged presents.

I love getting photos of the kiddos in front of the Christmas tree each year.  Pa, Gram and Aunt Josie jumped in on this one and I thought it turned out great.
I didn't get too many photos of everyone opening gifts; I had a certain little girl that wanted to eat as soon as we started exchanging gifts!

Anywho...Dallas was pretty excited about this truck that Pa customized for him
Reba was thrilled to get some new clothes
She was also very excited about the tractor Pa customized just for her!
Dallas also loved his new Farmall 1206 shirt - that will go great with his 1206 hat he picked out this past summer.
Thank you Pa, Gram and Aunt Josie - we are so very blessed to have you.

Until next time...

Barn Kitties

Earlier today, Reba was outside helping Doug pick up leaves and sticks when she noticed something different with the barn.  She finally got Doug's attention to point out what she had found...
Do you see it?  Yep, that's our kitties up in the loft of the barn.  Reba just thought it was hilarious!
Until next time...
