Cleaning Windows

If you know me, you know I despise cleaning windows.  And when you have three little ones, it is even more pointless to try and keep patio doors clean.  I mean, as soon as I do clean them, things like this happen...

Until next time...

Hanging Out

We spent a few extra days with Pa-paw and Ma-maw since I was meeting with my high school girlfriends on Monday for lunch.  We try to get together each year around Christmas to visit and eat at our favorite place, The Cow Palace!  I had been unable to make it the last couple times due to various reasons, but luckily it worked out this year!  Of course, I have no pictures from our lunch gathering...but I do have some more pictures of hanging out at Pa-paw and Ma-maw's house!

The kiddos got this cool bowling game, so we HAD to open it and give it a try.
It's got an electronic scoreboard and allows 2 players to bowl 6 frames.  It also has a ball return!  Needless to say, they love it!
Julianne hanging out with Ma-maw
Daddy helped Pa-paw and Aunt Lisa outside by trimming some of the dead tree limbs in the front yard.
Dallas helped by pulling all the cut limbs back to the burn pile!

Christmas with Robertsons

After sleeping in a little and doing a bit of "after-Christmas" clearance shopping, we headed north yesterday to celebrate Christmas with my parents and sisters, as well exchange a few gifts ;)  Unfortunately, Uncle Brian had to have emergency appendectomy surgery so he and Aunt Katie were not able to make the trip to join us.  We really missed them not being there, but thankfully, Uncle Brian will be back to himself quickly.

Enjoy the few photos I captured...we are completely blessed with all that God provided us this year.

Dallas (and Reba) loves to play "Santa" and pass out presents to everyone.

The sweatshirt we gave Pa-paw
The yoga mat we gave Aunt Lisa
Julianne has really gotten the hang of opening presents...as long as someone holds it still for her while she pulls on the paper
Not sure what this was about...

Daddy was excited about new Oliver toys
Little Miss loves jewelry
Granny (GG) was excited about her new pots and pans we got her
Sugar doing her own thing...

Now Doug has his own hand shears to help fit sheep!
If it has to do with (carpet) farming, the Big D loves it
Little Miss is slowly adding to her operation
Ma-maw showing off the new bed skirt we gave her

A great way to end the day...reading one their new books with Ma-maw
Until next time...

Merry Christmas from our Home to Yours

We made it home from Aunt Pat's last night.  Dallas and Reba each wrote a note for Santa, placed some cookies and carrots on a plate, and filled a mug with milk and a cup with water (for the reindeer).

This is what greeted the kiddos this morning when they woke - an empty plate and cups and a letter from the Jolly Guy.
Dallas' note to Santa
For Santa, the milk and the cookies (are for you).  The carrots and the water is for your reindeer. Have a happy new year. Love, Dallas
Santa responded: Merry Christmas! Chip (the Elf that was in Dallas' classroom) says "Hi!" -Mr. C.
 Reba's note to Santa
Santa, Merry Christmas.  We have (cookies) for you. -Reba
Santa responded: Thank you! - Mr. C.
The stockings were stuffed by the TV with care...
We let the kiddos look through their stockings before we headed to Mass.  The church always looks so lovely decorated for Christmas.
A parishioner was kind enough to offer to take a family picture for us.

When we got home, everyone changed into comfortable clothes, and Dallas and Reba agreed we could open gifts.

Santa brought new batteries for the Gators!

Daddy got the girls matching pink tractors
Another item Reba mentioned more than once that she would like was a combine, I had to twist Daddy's arm to convince him to get her one...

Dallas loved watching Doug and I open presents. I do believe he is learning to love to give.

Santa also brought Dallas and Reba wooden baseball gloves that have Cincinnati Reds on them. The gloves can hold their bat, glove and ball.
Julianne was happy carrying around her new outfit
Daddy also painted a semi truck for Reba
Dallas loves his new lowboy trailer

Until next time...
