OK, so I am really behind in posting these pictures, please forgive me...
Dallas had his first game on May 1. Unfortunately, Daddy was in the fields and wasn't able to make it. Reba was running a fever all that week, so I was trying to keep her comfortable and watch the game. Needless to say, I didn't get too many pictures. Here are the few that I did get...
Dallas standing in the on deck circle waiting his turn to bat (and kicking around the chalk!)
Playing a little defense...High-Fives after the game...
...along with a freeze pop!
Overall, the game was pretty comical to watch. The kiddos get 3 pitches off the machine, and if they don't get a hit, then they swing off the T-stand. The teams only played 2 innings. Each player had a turn batting during the inning, and they only advance one base at a time. My favorite part was when one child would get to the (hit) ball first, but before he/she had the chance to pick it up, he/she was pounced on by every other teammate trying to get the ball! Then, one kiddo would come up victorious from the pile, ball in hand, jumping up and down exclaiming "I got it!" All the while, the coach is trying to get them to throw the ball to first base!
Until next time...

Sounds pretty much like ours, except we don't use a pitching machine. :-) Go Dallas!
