Trunk-or-Treat!

Our church had a Trunk-or-Treat day over the weekend.  In case you haven't heard of such a thing, it is when people decorate the back of their cars (trunks), vans, trucks, motorcycles, etc., and gather in an area to pass out treats.  It is to promote a safe, and non-scary, trick-or-treating experience.  We loved it because it gave our kiddos the chance to dress up and gather candy!  When you live in the country, trick-or-treating consists of dressing up and driving to friends' houses in the country...a lot of in and out of the car!  Anywho...enough of the words, on to the pictures!

Introducing Minnie Mouse and Curious George
People not only decorated the trunks of their vehicles, they also dressed up themselves!
Gathering candy from the robot
Santa and Mrs. Claus were even there!  Dallas had no problem sitting with Santa...Reba wanted nothing to do with them
Reba spotted Thomas the Train...
and Dallas spotted the tractor!
We voted on which trunk we liked the best, and then made our way home...check out the loot!
Until next time...

New Hobby

Dallas and Reba have really gotten into coloring lately.  Every waking moment, Dallas wants to "color with the markers".  Yesterday, I had to make him put them away and go outside to play!
Dallas not only loves to color pictures, but he loves to share them people he loves.  Yesterday, we made a trip to the post office to share some of the love!

Party on the Interstate!

On Saturday after going to the pumpkin farm, we headed up to Gibson County where they were having a street festival before the opening of Interstate 69.  I had seen a news release online where they were to have antique tractors, cars, adult trikes, skateboards, and other activities.  And, you know us...if there are tractors - we are there!

Dallas really liked this corvette
Then, the kiddos liked the bug
The sun kept trying to peek out

The antique tractors that were on display...we were surprised to see Allis-Chalmers lead the turn-out!
The kiddos love to stand underneath high-crops!
People were able to doing chalk drawings on the road, most did body outlines, someone did this farm scene
The kiddos made puppets out of fly-swatters
Reba made a fairy

Dallas made "Doc the Super Butterfly"
Taking a ride on the adult trikes

While there, we also got to see the RE/MAX hot air balloon being unload and unfolded
Aired up
Doug thought it the fan they used was pretty cool - notice the engine on the fan
Almost there
We have take-off!
One last shot - standing in the middle of I-69.  Probably will never be able to do this again.

a-Mayse-ing Pumpkin Farm

Dallas had this past Friday off from school for Fall Break, so Daddy took the day off in anticipation of visiting a Pumpkin Farm.  Unfortunately, it was a rather cold and rainy day, so we delayed our trip to Saturday.  The day was cloudy and a bit chilly, but we still had lots of fun!  Enjoy the photos from the Mayse Farm Market...

Two lil' pumpkins
Dallas really liked this tall pumpkin
New to us was the Wildly Fun Rat-Race

Diggin' for Diamonds :)
Dallas really loved the Gourd Sling Shot!
Little Miss needed a little extra help

Next up was the Duck Races

We're thinking about doing away with the electric well, and just having the kiddos manually pump the well!
The kiddos then took a ride in the Barnyard Buggies

After going through some of the Corn Maze, we found the Giant Cornfield Slide

Next, it was time for Lil' Buckaroo's Rodeo
Finally, it was time to go...
I thought this was a great picture of Daddy and the kiddos

Daddy's Helpers

Daddy has been working on re-doing a tractor.  He took off a little too much paint while taking off the old decals; therefore, some touch up painting was in order, and the kiddos thought they needed to help!
