Upper Dells Boat Tour

Wisconsin Dells may be the waterpark capital, but do you know what really made it famous?

The landscape along the Wisconsin River - especially the sandstone bluffs along the river.  With that being said, we decided we couldn't vacation in the Dells without seeing the "dalles" - a French word meaning "layers of flat rock".

We chose to go on the Upper Dells Boat Tour.  As we set out on our 2 hour voyage - look who was driving the boat!
Good thing it wasn't a 3 hour tour!

Anywho...Reba loved looking out the windows enjoying view
We were able to make a couple stops on our tour.  The first being Witches Gulch, where there was this awesome path to walk upclose to the sandstone that had been shaped by wind and water...

There are these amazing structures along the river that are some of the most photographed formations - remember to use your imagination.

Our second stop was to visit Stand Rock made famous by H.H. Bennett

It's gorgeous! I think I have some of the same pictures...if not, I at least remember seeing the stone, but we did the Wild Thing ride and ended up way more wet than you guys! ;)

Kids are usually the ones who enjoy the most in this kind of trips. Look at those faces! They are really having fun. It is amazing how they manage to preserve the beauty of the spots here. I want to go here! I'll bring my family since they love an adventure. I took them in a corryvreckan cruising last year and they loved it!
