Ella's Deli

Before leaving on vacation, Ma-maw found out about this deli and ice cream shop in Madison that was a great place for families.  We decided it would be our meeting and lunch spot while in Madison before heading to a local brewery tour.

The name? Ella's Deli and Ice Cream Parlor.
Apparently, we weren't the only people to hear about it...there was a quite a crowd!  But, we were fortunate enough to not have to wait too long.  The kiddos loved gazing about and finding different things hanging from the ceiling (OK, the adults enjoyed the gazing just as much too)

Mighty Mouse kept us safe by patroling over our tables.
This was my lunch - chicken parmesan sandwich.  It was DELICIOUS!  Probably one of my favorite meals while on the trip :)
Ella's even has an old time carousel that the kiddos can ride for a $1

Can you hear the big ole yee-haw coming from him?
Little Miss practicing the fair queen wave :)
After lunch, it was off to a local brewery tour - but first we had to sit in a traffic jam caused by a broken down ice cream truck on the interstate...

Until next time...

Was he giving out free ice cream then? I mean, that would only be fair!
