Here are some photos from the trip...
Dallas excited about going on a roadtrip...gotta get a good breakfast in before hitting the road.
We hired a personal guide for the trip...
This picture doesn't do this house much justice, but the people that live there have a fantastic view!
After checking into the hotel, we asked the lady at the check-in desk for a good place to eat. She suggested Reverend Jim's Roadhouse Bar and Grill. We decided to give it a try. This is what we saw when we pulled up...
After checking the inside, we decided to try something else.
Dallas was being a ham at dinner...he was blaming something on Grandpa here.

Aunt Katie sharing her beverage.
Dallas helping Grandma pack to leave.
We ate breakfast Sunday morning before parting ways, Dallas decided to try Grandma's lemon...
He of course made a sour face, which I wasn't able to capture on camera, and then went right back to eating the lemon!
Some pictures before leaving...

Doug, Dallas, Katie, and I decided to check out downtown and the campus of the University of Wisconsin before leaving town...
The Kohl Center on campus
Doug has set a new goal after driving around campus...to get a picture (in front a campus sign) at each Big 10 school. Here is step 1 of 11...
Dallas thought of his Aunt Josie as we passed this diner...unfortunately, it's not open anymore...
One last picture with Aunt Katie before going our own ways.
As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, we got some rain last week followed by sunshine. My tulips loved the combination!
Until next time...

It looks like you had an awesome time. It's always nice to get away for a few days :)
Looks like a fun trip! Our family is headed to that area at the end of the summer for a long weekend! Jenna and I may have to join Doug in his pursuit of pics with college signs, although we've been taking them at more than Big 10! haha
Where's the sheep pictures. The campus at Madison is a neat place. I've been there a couple of times with the Purdue Dairy judging teams, and while visiting ABS in Deforest. Looks like it was a great trip.
