Profile of Buckwheat - "age" 21 weeksWe still don't know if Buckwheat is a boy or girl. The technician said that by her measurements, she thought I was about 2 weeks farther along than the doctor originally said...making my possible due date March 3rd. Of course, this is not a definite because the technician then said her date is give or take 2 weeks....taking us back close to the 24th. So...Who knows!
After the ultrasound, we met with Dr. Smollen for our monthly check-up. Doug actually timed her this time (she is very quick and to the point at times). We met with her for a total of 4 minutes today! We got a good laugh out of it. Anywho...she again counted the heartbeat at 160 beats/min. An hour earlier the technician counted the heartbeat at 133 beats/min., but Dr. Smollen said it could vary that much depending if Buckwheat is awake or asleep.

Oh my word!! He/She definitely looks like a baby! Silly I know.. but I've seen 'em before where they were nothing more than a blob... but you have a real baby!! Thank you so much for sharing "Buckie's" first photo with us!!
