Saturday morning, we picked up our 10 rock-
cornish chickens from the farm store in
Marengo. We are very new to the chicken raising process, but we are learning. These chicks should be ready for butcher in about 7 weeks. Let's hope that all goes well...and that someone doesn't get too attached.

Reba could really care less about touching the chicks

Dallas constantly wants to check on the chickens and pet them. He is so proud of himself when he pets them
gently.

Until next time...

Aww!! I have a feeling he will get too attached!! The last time we had chicks, I was 15 and got too attached! :) Please... for my peace of mind... send him to Grandparents the week you butcher.......
How exciting that you got baby chicks! What a neat experience to have for your kids. I wish we had room for them here.
