Week 25

Alright, I cheated and took the picture a day early. I had a check-up with Dr. Smollen today (Wednesday), so I was decently dressed and had my hair looking nice.
Baby Gertie is doing great. Dr. Smollen was so proud that I still "have my ankles" for being preggo during the summer. I said that I tried to pick the best summer to have pregnant (very little heat). Baby Gertie's heartbeat was slower today - about 140 beats/min...I think s/he was sleeping during the appointment. I go back in another month. With that appointment will be my gestational blood glucose screening. I'm not too worried about it...it's the hour long wait with a very busy little boy that concerns me. Maybe I'll get a babysitter for that appointment.

A little side note. Today, at the appointment, I weighed in at the same weight that I started at while pregnant with Dallas! Craziness.

A Glimpse into the Future

As I was taking Dallas out of the high chair from lunch, I caught an all too familiar odor. I asked, "Dallas, do you have poopy pants?" He usually will pat his diaper when I say this, as if his response is "yes".

But...today, he walks to the bathroom and grabs this...
and brings it to me! I just had to grab the camera and snap a picture. Then he starts walking back to the bathroom with it. Do I see a future career as a plumber?

Tired Little Boy

This was during lunch today.
I think someone is worn out from his vacation to Indiana! Poor little fellow didn't even finish his lunch.

Thanks again to Grandma and Grandpa Robertson, Aunt Lisa, Aunt Katie, GG, Grandpa and Gram Bergman and Aunt Josie for spoiling our little man last week. I know you all had a nonstop, fun-filled time with him, and he had just as much fun with you. {but we are excited to have him home and wearing us out!}

Starting to Store Up

As I mentioned before, I treated myself to a new pressure cooker/canner for my birthday. I have really put it to use this last week while Dallas was visiting his grandparents. Take a look at what I accomplished!
Yep...that's 43 pints of sweet corn waiting to be used this winter! Boy, oh, boy! It's going to be "Oh, so good"
