Announcement

Remember the photo shoot I had with the kiddos a few weeks ago?  Well, I had another reason for the pictures.  I wanted to make a card...

Christmas with Rosenfelds

We were able to spend Christmas Eve with Gram's side of the family.  Gram found my camera in the diaper bag; therefore, I have pictures to share with you all!

Dallas and Reba always love playing with this toy (I think it's Little People, but I'm not sure) when we are at Aunt Pat's house.
Doug and I joined Christy, Aunt Peggy and Kathryn in a game of Tripoley

The kiddos were able to decorate gingerbread men (thanks to Jeff for bringing the supplies)

(Great) Uncle Junior has a special spot in his heart for Reba - they share a birthday and are both left handers ;)  Reba was happy to climb up in Uncle Junior's lap and share her game today.
Gram helped Julianne open her goody bag
Aunt Peggy had ordered from my Jamberry party in the fall, but was waiting for me to show her how to apply them.  So we had a pedicure session!
Aunt Josie getting some snuggle time with Sugar
A new family photo!

Santa's Helpers

The other night as I was putting together our family Christmas card, Reba kept asking if she could help.  I finally decided that she could stuff the envelopes, and oh, was she excited!

Of course, once Dallas saw that Reba was helping, he wanted to help, too!  Thankfully, there were enough cards to justify two envelope stuffers.

So, if you receive a card with a folded corner ... just know it was stuff with love from Reba or Dallas!

The next day, while Dallas was at his weekly speech appointment, Reba and I jetted over to the post office and bought stamps.  After picking Dallas up and heading home, it was time to stamp all of those Christmas cards!  And wouldn't you know...I had some great help for that, too.

We only had two mistakes (that I am aware of)...Dallas put one stamp over the front mailing label, and Reba placed one stamp in the upper left-hand corner!  I caught them quickly, and the stamps were easy to remove and re-stick in the correct spot.

Until next time...be on the lookout for the mailman bringing you a special card from our corner of the state :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tuesday was Daddy's birthday, so the kiddos each made him a card...

I took the kiddos to the Rural King (yes, that's probably our favorite place to shop!) to pick out a gift for Daddy.  Let's just say, the kiddos are really great at this gift picking out stuff.  Remember when Reba picked out shoes for Momma's birthday?

Dallas decided we needed to go right to the toy aisle!  He picked out a set of construction toys
and Reba picked a JD 1010
I also made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing for Doug's birthday.  I think it might be our family's new favorite cake!
Until next time...

My "Golden" Birthday

That's right, this year I turn 30 years old on the 30th.  So why it isn't actually my birthday, we have already celebrated here at home.  Doug left Friday morning for work and headed to Georgia to help that group with their harvest.  Since he knew he would be gone, he took the kiddos shopping early in the week and let me open my cards and presents a week before my birthday :)

Dallas opened the card he picked out for me
Reba picked out some new flip-flops for me - she knows her momma loves shoes!
Dallas picked out a new bird feeder for me and a big bag of feed (Dallas was explaining to me that we can hang the feeder out by the swingset so we can watch the birds eat while I push him in the swing...always thinkin' that kid!)
Doug also took me out to dinner before he left.  We ate at a local sushi restaurant!  It was the first time I have had sushi and it was really good.  As we were leaving the restaurant, Doug said, "I expect to see this on the blog."  I replied with, "Why didn't you have me take pictures then?"  So I apologize for no pictures.  I must be getting forgetful in my "old" age.

Until next time...
