Starring Julianne

I thought I would share a couple videos I have recently captured of Sugar.

Our little field helper! Julianne has taken an interest in this combine.  It was Daddy's when he was a kiddo.

Julianne is really good at feeding herself these days.  She also loves to "blow" her nose and make it go "beep, beep".

We have noticed Julianne starting to initiate peek-a-boo games.  She also will clap along with pat-a-cake, even though she doesn't play along in the video.

Julianne

This is Julianne's newest way to enjoy her meals...

Reba keeps reminding her we don't put our feet on the table...one day she'll listen.  Right?

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Tonight was Dallas' parent/teacher conference.  Unfortunately, Doug wasn't able to attend, so I had all three kiddos in tow.  Dallas and Reba sat nicely outside the classroom, while Julianne and I chatted with Mrs. Schuler.  Overall it was a great conference, and I couldn't be more proud of all the accomplishments Dallas is making in school.

Before heading to the conference, Reba had to catch a little nap.  She made the bed herself!
Outside of Dallas' class, there were multiple projects the class had completed.  Here are a few of the things Dallas has done thus far...

Portraits created to go with the story, "Arlo Needs Glasses"
Repetitive shapes (circles)
My Scarecrow...
The scarecrow described in the above picture
The students also made Jack-o-lantern faces according to how they answered the following questions.

Apparently, Dallas has never had pumpkin seeds, doesn't know if he likes pumpkin pie, likes happy jack-o-lanterns, and caramel apples are his favorite fall treat!

Fun Day at Kelsay Farms

To end the weekend visit, Pa-paw and Ma-maw treated the kiddos with a trip to Kelsay Farms near Whiteland.  I think it is safe to say that everyone had a blast!  Thanks for remembering your cameras Ma-maw and Aunt Lisa.  Enjoy a *few* of the photos from our afternoon on the farm!

Baby Lambs

Since Doug is out of town for work, I took the kiddos north to visit Pa-paw and Ma-maw for the weekend.  (I was itching to see the newest baby lambs!)

Pa-paw has been building paper airplanes for the kiddos, and Dallas is getting pretty good at flying them.  Then he figured out how to land them up on the shelf with Pa-paw's tractors...needless to say, he had to get them down too.
Here's the newest addition to our flock!  A natural colored Dorset! Pa-paw has decided to call him Cracker-Jack.  Dallas is hoping we get him at our house to show next summer.
Reba loved being able to love on one of her babies for next summer.

While we were out in the barn, Aunt Lisa noticed there was a new baby in pasture.  Dallas was thrilled to be able to bring it up to the barn.
Ma-maw working her "baby whisperer" magic on Julianne.  She is one of the few who can actually rock that girl to sleep!
Until next time...
