Hip2Save.com

I have been clipping coupons for a short while, and I found this awesome BLOG giving you tons of hot deals at various places (thanks Jen!). I am addicted, and I just discovered it yesterday. Before, I was only getting coupons from coupon.com because we don't get a "big city" newspaper that carries inserts. This has opened the door (and internet webpages) to many more places to gather coupons and tips on how to really get the most out of them. I thought I would pass it along to all the other blog mom's or just anyone looking to score an amazing deal.

Hope it helps...you can also find Hip2Save by clicking the button to the right.

Until next time...

p.s. if you ever want to get rid of coupons that you receive in your newspaper(s), I'd be glad to take them off your hands!

1 More Week...

In just one week Dallas will turn 2!!! So...to get ready for the big day, I gave him a hair cut last night. Of course, I bribed him with a sucker so he would hold still. The picture on the right is before the haircut, and the 3 on the left are after the haircut.
Even after I gave him a bath and recombed his hair, I pretty happy with my work!

Can't Forget Reba...

So my post earlier revolved around Dallas, so I had to get some pictures of Reba to share!

She is a pretty happy girl...
Still not rolling. I am probably to blame for this. I hardly ever put her on her tummy. She will spit up (a lot!) each and every time; no matter how long it has been after she last ate. She sits in the Bumbo a lot, and she does great with head control so it's not a surprise she can hold her head up really well when she is on her tummy.

Big Brother had to get in on the picture time :)

Third Times a Charm!

Today was the third time for us going to story time at the library, and I'm proud to say that Dallas did GREAT! This week's theme was Lions. Lucky for us, Dallas just started to ROAR in the last week.

When we arrived, the kids got to make their own lion faces. I put the glue on and let Dallas stick on the eyes and nose. Then, I took a marker and drew the mouth. When it was time to start the stories, Dallas walked with Reba and I to the sitting area (with a book he had found when we first arrived), sat down and listened to the entire story...and it was a long one, too. He enjoyed the "wiggle" activity; roaring like a lion. But when it came time for the second story, he just had to keep moving. We made it back to the craft table where Dallas added more glue for more eyes and noses...
Dallas' lion ended up with 6 or 7 eyes and 3 noses...oh well, he enjoyed it. Dallas even checked a book out from the library. He was such a big boy handing it to the lady at the desk so she could scan it. (I wish I would have had my camera out for that.) He then proudly carried it out to the truck and flipped through the pages all the way home.

When we got home, I let Dallas play outside while I fixed lunch. He just wandered around the yard, stomped in the mud, found a stick and dug in the snow, and walked through drifts. The weather is awesome today! It is around 36 degrees. The sun has been out for the last few days, and we are finally able to notice some of the snow melting. We are suppose to get to 40 degrees this weekend, but it is also suppose to rain. That's really going to make a mess of things.

Until next time...

Oh, Canada!

Doug left very early this morning for Canada. He is doing an ISO audit with work, and he will be gone until late Friday night. He had a 5 hour lay-over in Calgary, and while waiting he saw many Olympians passing through. He was able to capture a couple pictures.

This man was on the (Gold Medal) Hockey team.
These 3 guys were on the Bronze Medal 4-man bobsled team.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
Until next time...
