Yea...two posts in one day for Rajean! If you haven't guessed, Dallas is napping at the moment; therefore, I am able to get some things done on the computer.
Anywho...I did a photo shoot with Dallas the day before last for his 9 month milestone...I thought I would share some of them with you:And, finally, "I'm outta here!"
Until next time...

Movin' and Groovin'
This video was taken on Dallas' 9 month birthday! He really got into (what I'm calling) a crawling mode. He can really make his way across a room these days.
Until next time...
Doug took Friday afternoon off work so he could take Dallas in for his 9 month check-up. Dallas weighed in at 21 pounds and 11 ounces, and he was 28 1/2 inches. I don't agree with his height, but I also know how difficult it is to measure a wiggling baby. (This is the same height he was measured at during his 6 month check up.) Anyway, the doctor says he is doing great! He also received his second flu shot, and he had his hemoglobin level checked (which was normal).
Here are a few pictures from that day...I guess I'm starting to slack on my picture taking!
...and yes, Dallas opened that cabinet door, removed his socks, and was trying to eat the rug!
Dallas got to help one of Missy Buhr's students with a class project this week. We received Flat Stan in the mail (from a story the kiddos read in class), and then we got to show him around Williamsburg. This was their picture together; before Dallas ripped off Flat Stan's arm...sorry Missy, I did tape it back on!
Have a great week!Until next time...

Winter Wonderland
Even though winter does not officially begin until December 21st, it has definitely arrived here! The temps have been hovering around freezing during the day and then dipping close to zero at night. Over the weekend, we bought Dallas another hat (we are having trouble keeping them on) and mittens. Here's the little guy bundled up to go to town.
I finally did it...I put up the Christmas tree. I was trying to decide if I wanted to set it up or not. I didn't want to be constantly pulling Dallas out of it. I then decided to set it up in the back of my living room where Dallas does not play. Of course, I had to set him in front of the tree to get a picture, and he would not look at me.

When Doug got home, he helped get a good picture.
Here is the finished tree!
We also finished the outside lights...take a look:
After a couple years, I am finally able to have my snow globe! If you remember, last year, I was not able to do lights because we were getting our house re-roofed, and Doug was out of the country with work.
As far as winter weather, we received a lot of ice through the night. The vehicles were covered this morning. The freezing rain is still falling, and they say it will turn to snow later today. Many schools in the area closed for today...let the long winter settle in. Oh, and we are to get our next winter storm beginning Sunday.
Until next time...

breakfast on my own...
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mom and Dad kept pretty busy these past couple days. Saturday, they took me to the mall...there were tons and tons of people out! They didn't buy too much; just trying to add ideas to their Christmas lists. Mom thought about taking me to see Santa, but Dad said the line was "very, very long". Plus, I don't know if I would be OK sitting on the lap of a complete stranger like that.
Sunday morning was church, but before we headed to church Mom let me feed myself breakfast (oatmeal and applesauce). Mom and Dad were snapping the camera all crazy-like...here's what they captured:
Yes, Mom pulled down the top of my PJ's thinking it would keep them from getting covered in food...only she didn't realize that I would just cover myself instead making us late for church!
After church, Mom made breakfast for her and Dad, and I even got to have some egg and toast.
When I finally went down for my afternoon nap, Mom and Dad worked on the outside Christmas lights. They got them all up, but not on because they need to a part for the porch light to plug in the lights. Mom says she will get it tomorrow and then put pictures up.
I have my monthly therapy appointment tomorrow, and Friday is my 9 month check-up! Not too much else exciting going on around here. Have a great week!
Love,
Dallas

Yumm-o!
Ever since Thanksgiving, we have been giving Dallas some of what we have been eating for dinner. He loves it! The other night, I made a pizza casserole...well, I'll let the pictures do the talking:
Dallas completely cleaned his bowl! We still feed him baby food to make sure he is getting enough veggies and fruits (and to finish off all that I have stocked in the freezer). In the last week, Dallas has also started eating crackers, toast, cheese, noodles, and yogurt. He is not very fond of the yogurt. Actually, it might be the one thing he completely dislikes! He makes this really bad face each time I try to give him a bite. Although, I can't blame the little guy...have you ever tried plain yogurt? Not really the best.
In other news, we finally got new brakes put on Lily (my car)! I even drove her to church Thursday night for my religious ed class. It was the first time in a long time that I had drove her. Crazy how I got so excited about that...anywho...just thought I would share my excitement. Of course, the same day we got new brakes on the car, Doug got a (somewhat) promotion at work (another excitement I wanted to share). And, with his promotion, he gets a company vehicle to drive back and forth to work. So...now he doesn't need the car to drive to work! Ironic how that happens. But, Lily will still have a place around here...especially to drive for small errands, groceries and what not...hopefully, this will help keep the miles off the truck.
In other, other news...the weather sure has turn cold here. This morning, it was below zero! Brrr. Tonight, there is some cloud cover, so the temps won't drop as much...but we are to get a dusting of snow through the night. Tomorrow, it is to be windy. Hopefully, the drifts won't get too bad.
And, finally...I believe we are finished Christmas shopping! I have made my list and checked it twice. Tomorrow, I think we are going to try and go to the mall so Doug can look around for ideas for his list. Let's hope the crowds are not too terribly bad. In addition, I am almost finished with my cards. I'm waiting on a few addresses, and then they will be done!
Until next time...

Other Random Pictures from the Indiana Trip
I mentioned in an earlier post that Dallas attended his first high school basketball game...well, this is how he enjoyed most of the game. Asleep on Grandma's lap!Aunt Katie found a Santa hat for me!
Reading my Christmas book with Grandpa.
GG and Dallas (catching a nap before the next dinner).
The Christmas Tree in downtown Indy.
Go Colts!
One last meal before heading back to Iowa.
Finally, as I mentioned, Dallas is getting pretty good at the standing thing. This morning when I went to get him out of bed...this is what I found:
OK...this is the last one. You know they are exhausted when they can sit by each other!
