This is the first year for Dallas to sign up to play T-Ball. Unfortunately, there was a little miscommunication between the coach and Momma, and Dallas missed the first 2 practices :(
Oh, well...he is still having fun!
The team doesn't have their first game until May, so we have a few more practices to work on the basics; including hitting from the pitching machine. Yes, you read that correctly. The pitching machine. Even though they call it T-Ball. Apparently, the kiddo gets x number of pitches from the machine. If they don't hit, then they get a swing off the T-stand. Dallas has gotten a few hits from the machine, but we need to work on focus and speed.
Until next time...
Wow, I can't believe they use a pitching machine. Eli and Jude have their first game tomorrow and I can't imagine putting them in front of a pitching machine, I think I would be too nervous for them. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe start this wonderful adventure tomorrow morning. Nothing like having your first practice in MAYBE 40 degree weather. Colton will go off a pitching machine too -- 5 tries, then to a tee. Anxious to see how he does, but he does well with this little thing. Maybe Dallas needs one for practice! ;) http://www.littletikes.com/kids-toys/3-in-1-baseball-trainer

Wowzers! Don't those thing pitch kinda fast?! I don't think I could hit one off of there.. I like the slow arc of a.. heck, what am I saying?! I always volunteered to sit on the bench! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck Dallas!
