Weekend Vacation

Over the weekend, we took a small roadtrip up to Madison, Wisconsin. My dad was wanting Katie and I to go to a sheep farm near Madison to pick out a couple new sheep for his flock. As luck would have it, we had enough rain in Iowa and Indiana this past week that the whole Robertson family was able to make the trip. Dallas, Doug and I met Katie in Dubuque, IA (which is on the Iowa/Wisconsin state line) and rode the rest of the way together. The weather was gorgeous, and we all had a fabulous time. Oh, and we were able to decide not on two, but three new sheep to add to the Triple R flock!

This picture doesn't do this house much justice, but the people that live there have a fantastic view!
After checking into the hotel, we asked the lady at the check-in desk for a good place to eat. She suggested Reverend Jim's Roadhouse Bar and Grill. We decided to give it a try. This is what we saw when we pulled up...

We ate breakfast Sunday morning before parting ways, Dallas decided to try Grandma's lemon...

He of course made a sour face, which I wasn't able to capture on camera, and then went right back to eating the lemon!
