Dallas and Pa-paw

Over the weekend, we headed north to spend some time with family.  While at Ma-maw and Pa-paw's we got out this tent and tunnel Dallas received for Christmas.  Dallas wanted Pa-paw to play and crawl through with him...little did he know, he would have to help Pa-paw out!

Dallas made it through rather quickly, and was waiting on his next turn
"Maybe if I tickle his feet, he will go faster!"
Yea!  Pa-paw made it!  Want to do it again?

Fun Friday Fotos

It was a rainy day here yesterday, so Dallas and I made a tent in the apartment.  The kiddos loved crawling under and through it.  It wasn't the best picture opportunities, but here are a few I was able to capture...

Then it was bath time...which always gets a lot of smiles.

Pig Tails and Prayers

Reba sported her first set of pig tails today!  They lasted all morning and then she went down for naptime.  We will have to try again another day.

As far as prayers...I haven't mentioned much about the house selling process because there has not been much to mention.  The housing market (as most of you know) is slow, and it is especially slow in Williamsburg, Iowa.  Early last week when I talked with our realtor, she had not shown a house ...any house... in over 2 weeks!

Ouch.

Doug and I have been saying our prayers for patience through all of this, and of course, praying that St. Joseph will help us.  Then...yesterday, we got a call from the realtor.  Our house was shown twice over the weekend!  Whoo-hoo!  It was the first time since Christmas that it had been shown.

So...if you all could add a few extra prayers for: The housing market to pick up (especially in W'burg); that, if it is according to God's plan right now, that He send us a good buyer, one who is eager, compliant, and honest; and that nothing impede for a rapid conclusion of the sale, we would be greatly appreciative.

Another Birthday Party

One of Doug's co-workers was gracious enough to invite us to her daughter's 6th birthday party on Sunday evening. They were having the party at Pump It Up, and she thought our kids would enjoy it. She was absolutely right! I was able to take a few more pictures this go around since I had Doug helping with the kiddos. Enjoy the photos (I'm trying to combine some videos to post later...)
If you looked back at the pictures from our first trip to Pump It Up, you are not mistaken...Dallas is wearing the exact same outfit! That's what you get when the clothes selection is very limited...
Dallas and Daddy tackling the obstacle course
Dallas came a little too fast down the slide :)
They didn't have these Gladiator toys the last time we went...
Then, Dallas found the helmets and it made it even more fun to watch!
Dallas climbing the "ladder" to the slide all by himself.
After an hour of jumping and playing, we had pizza and birthday cake with everyone. Soon after getting back to the apartment, Reba crashed!

Happy Birthday Great-Grandpa!

Saturday, we had a birthday party for Great-Grandpa Robertson (my grandpa).  Great-Grandpa turns 86 this coming Wednesday.  We met a lot of the family in Montgomery, IN at the Gasthof Amish Restaurant.  Here are a few pictures from our day...

Dallas getting ready to leave the apartment (he thought there was no need for a shirt)
This horse greeted us as soon as we walked in
Dallas wanted Reba to ride along on the open prairie, but she wasn't so sure
She is such a hoot!
The great-grandkids playing together (l-r: Reba 15 months, Dallas 2.5 years old, Austin 2 years old, and George Martin 17 months)
The Heart of Texas enjoying cookies
We had a wonderful time visiting with everyone and especially enjoyed watching the little ones play.

Reba at 15 months

Seriously...where has the time gone! I can't believe my little girl is 15 months old. I took her to the doctor on Friday for a check up, and to meet the new doctor. Dr. Alex is great - I can tell already that I'm really going to like him. Reba is weighing in at 21.8 lbs and is standing 30 inches tall. That puts her in the 34th and 37th percentiles respectively. It is sort of a shock to think of her on the small side, especially since Dallas was always on the big side! In other areas, she is excelling. Reba has about 10 words: mama, dad, book, cheese, brother, yes, no, bye-bye, baa, moo, and neigh. She loves to read books and play tea party. She also loves her tractors and cars. Reba now has 8 teeth...number 8 broke through on her actual month-birthday.

To end with, here is Reba newest look - an alfalfa sprout!

It's a Beautiful Day...

Yesterday's weather was awesome, and today's...just as great!  After naps yesterday, Doug and I took the kiddos to a park to get some of this winter, stored-up, energy out!

Reba loved running up and down the ramps
Dallas tested all the slides
Then, the swings opened up!  I think they were pretty happy about that...
As I said, today is another gorgeous day (50's and sunshine! A little more wind than yesterday, but we're used to that!)  I found another park to take the kiddos to - check out the play structure!
Dallas loved the twisty slide
Reba loved climbing the stairs (and going down slides with Momma)

Organizing Pictures

Yesterday, while the kiddos napped, I started organizing and deleting some pictures on my computer.  I came across this one from one of my trips from Evansville to Williamsburg.  When I saw this guy on the interstate, all I could think was, "He lost Granny!"
You know...
"Come and listen to a story about a man named Jed
A poor mountaineer, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin at some food,
And up through the ground came a bubblin' crude..."

This was Reba's first juice pouch...needless to say, she drank it all in one breath - just like her big brother!

My Little Helper

Dallas has recently shown interest in helping with the after supper chores.
He loves to dry the dishes and stack them to the side...and once in a while, he'll put them back in the sink.

I swear...

...I would loose my head if it weren't attached!  My latest episode of my forgetfulness is that I have misplaced my charger for my camera.  The battery finally died while at Pump It Up last week.  Then, Dallas and Reba went to Shelbyville for the weekend to spend with the grandparents.  While eating supper with my parents Sunday evening, I made mention about missing my charger.  Wouldn't you know...I had left it at their house!  Only, they didn't know it was mine so they didn't bring it.  Let's just hope I can get up there soon to reclaim it.  ...until then, my mom sent me some pictures off her camera.

These were from Christmas.  Reba has a slight fetish with toilet paper.
