One Final Birthday Post

Gram and Grandpa Bergman and Aunt Josie came to visit this past weekend. They were here to help celebrate Dallas' 2nd Birthday! Enjoy the following pictures from our weekend...

Reba excited to have visitors
Dallas ripping into the presents!
Patiently waiting for Daddy to get the new Oliver crawler out of the box
A new shirt! Surely he wouldn't...
New summer clothes from Aunt Josie
Trying them on for size
Even though Iowa is know for wrestling and football, we are going to make a BASKETBALL player out of him yet!
Shooting some hoops on the new goal from Gram and Grandpa Bergman
On Saturday, Doug, Bob, Dallas and I went to a toy show. Doug has been wanting to get a purple Oliver for Reba (he bought a tractor for Dallas when he was born too). Luckily, one guy had the tractor...so we snatched it up! Upon getting home, Doug was comparing it to other Olivers we have. Dallas thought they would be best lined up...
The green Oliver is Doug's, the purple one in the middle is Reba's new tractor, and the purple one on the end is mine (yes, it's purple; just a darker purple compared to the one in the middle, and the flash from the camera made it look blue).

Grandpa Bob and Dallas watching the UNI Panthers beat Kansas!
After church on Sunday, we took some family pictures
Gram, Reba, Grandpa and Dallas
and one more with Aunt Josie (or Jo as Dallas likes to say)
Miss Reba cuddling with Daddy
Aunt Josie and Reba
Oh, and in case you haven't heard...Dallas traveled back to Indiana with Gram, Grandpa and Aunt Josie for his "spring break". He is staying with the Bergmans through today, and he will then go and stay with the Robertsons until Saturday. I'm sure he will be one spoiled (and tired) little guy when he gets back to Mom and Dad.
Until next time...

Dallas' Workout

My mom was able to get the video of Dallas on Aunt Katie's treadmill to me. I have to appologize that you must tilt your head to view it!

Until next time...

Cake and Candles

I made a second birthday cake for Dallas this past weekend to have with Gram and Grandpa Bergman and Aunt Josie...
This one turned out much better thanks to the icing coloring and decorating tips Katie shared with me!

Dallas loved the Ollie-ollie-ollie!
No, he didn't get punched in the mouth...that's just the black icing turning his lips black!
Once again, we sang the "Happy Birthday" song, and Dallas blew out his candles.
I promise there are more pictures to come.
Until next time...

Even More of Dallas' Birthday Weekend

My mom emailed me some of the pictures she took while out visiting for Dallas' birthday. I thought I would share some of them with you! Also...look forward to another post with pictures from Dallas' birthday celebration with Gram and Grandpa Bergman and Aunt Josie.

Reba and Aunt Lisa (before Miss Reba decided to nap)
GG and Reba
Dallas giving his baby sister some lovin'
Grandma Robertson and her babies
Dallas trying to figure out Aunt Katie's treadmill (my mom had a video of this which was quite hilarious as well...maybe I will be able to get her to send it too)
As many of you know, we got Dallas' name from Dallas Clark of the Indianapolis Colts. On Friday night when my parents took Dallas to Katie's, they went to dinner in D. Clark's home area. The gal that runs the bar is a good friend of D. Clark's; therefore, she has this in the bar...
(yes, in Iowa, children are allowed in the bar!)

Grandpa Jim and Reba...they must have been having a serious conversation
Dallas and Grandpa Jim watching some basketball

Until next time...

Friday morning I took the kids for their check-ups. Here are the current stats:

Weight: 31 pounds (80th percentile)
Head Circumference: 20.7 inches (97th percentile)

Reba ~ 4 months

Dr. Boelter commented on how great both kids are doing, saying "4 clear ears, 2 clear noses and 2 healthy, happy babies!"

We are truly blessed.

Reba ~ 4 months old

Reba turned 4 months old today!
This little girl is growing and changing each day. She coos all the time! She loves to giggle; especially when Daddy tickles her. Reba loves to talk to her toys and reaches out to grab them. When she is on her tummy, Reba even reaches out to grab toys. (We are still waiting for her to roll over from tummy to back) She has really started to become interested in books and loves to look at the bright pictures. Of course, Reba loves to watch her big brother in action. If she hears him, she wants to see him! She is a great sleeper as well; even if she is still a bit of a night owl. Reba will go to bed around 10:30 or 11, and she will sleep through the night until 7 or 8 the next morning! (awesome...I know!)

Lastly, this little girl loves her thumb...good thing it goes everywhere with us!
We go to the doctor on Friday for her 4 month well-child check. I'll update you on her stats then!
Until next time...

Hello Sunshine!

Monday was a beautiful day! I made the decision to skip Dallas' nap and take him outside, and I was very glad I did. He loved being outside. I think we got every toy out of the garage and barn! Tuesday it was pretty chilly again, so we stayed in, but today it is sunshine again; although we didn't skip naptime today.

Ok...on to pictures from Monday...

I was very surprised to see my tulips popping through!
Dallas enjoying being pulled in his wagon
I even got the dogs out of their kennel...they loved it too!
Charlie
Fred
After Reba woke up from her nap, she came outside to enjoy the sunshine with Dallas and I
Dallas learning how to drive
Dallas thought he should give us a ride on the lawn mower
When Daddy got home from work, he decided to get the Ollie-ollie-ollie out (that's what Dallas calls the Oliver)

I'm off to enjoy more of the sunshine!
Until next time...

More of Dallas' Birthday; Plus Our Weekend

On Friday afternoon, Mom, Dad, Granny, Lisa and Dallas headed north to go to Katie's house. Doug, Reba and I went up on Saturday. It was very quiet around our house Friday night...we sort of missed the little guy. Saturday morning, Doug, Reba and I went to a toy show before going to Katie's. We then all went out to dinner on Saturday evening. Sunday, we slept in, went out for breakfast, drove out to see where Katie works, and then drove around trying to see a wind farm. We weren't so successful at that because a heavy fog came in. Oh well...better luck next time...

On to pictures...

Miss Reba thinking spring!
Dallas and GG reading a tractor book
Dallas' new Oliver hat from Doug and I
We also got Dallas a couple Thomas the Train videos
and a new pair of cowboy boots!
Dallas showing off all his gifts from us
Reba watching Dallas open gifts...she is pretty fasinated by him these days
Dallas helping Aunt Katie on the computer
The "Easter Bunny" was at the resturant Saturday evening.
We only have one pack 'n play to travel with, and Dallas uses it. Luckily, Reba doesn't roll yet...so I just built a nest for her to sleep in (in one of Aunt Katie's closets!)
Daddy and Dallas self-portrait
Aunt Katie, Dallas and Aunt Lisa at breakfast Sunday morning
Playing farm with Grandpa and Daddy (while they watch the selection show on Sunday)
Reba playing with the new tractor we bought Saturday morning
Grandma and Reba
4 Generations
One last shot with Grandma and Grandpa before heading home...do you know how hard it is to get everyone looking?!?!
Thanks again for coming to celebrate Dallas' birthday! Thanks also to Aunt Katie for letting us crash at her house!
Until next time...
